In memory of the First Word War, which started 100 years ago, this month, I suggest that a march through No Man's Land is in order. :p
No doubt about that. Wow, 100 years ago.

DH and I were looking at worldwide casualties of various wars (WWI and WWII). You know, I can't even wrap my head around those kind of numbers. Just so sad.

Lori, I refer to those wars as the World War and the World War Part 2. I had a great-uncle who was wounded in part 1 and another uncle who was wounded in part 2. What a waste of life, war is. :(

My dad was on the very tail end of II. Really it was all over by the time he finished basic training, but he was sent to Italy to help round up equipment that was to be shipped back.
Had an Uncle, Dad's BIL, who was in the thick of it though. Told a story of sleeping one night in an abandoned farmhouse, nearly froze to death. When they woke in the morning, German soldiers were coming down the staircase from upstairs. He said no one spoke, drew a weapon, nothing. They were all bone tired, half starved, half frozen. Said each group went the opposite direction. Both sides had had quite enough.

That was so sweet WDS

Well, someone has to remember. Too easily dismissed as "well we weren't around then" when in all possibility we're around now solely because of the actions of the people who fought this war. It's easy to think I would or they would have done the same, when in reality it's unlikely that we'd even consider it voluntarily. I'll stop my rant there, kids and their attitude for the men and women in the forces really gets to me

    It's okay ... no, I wouldn't say it make's it slippery.
Personally I'd prefer it without the wrap but I know I'd be heart-broken if I scratched my new green one :(

New green one? Do you have 3 now?

there you go....you could also chop them up first.

Done & it's in the freezer. Not sure if it would mix either tuna too well so I decided to hold off for now:laugh:
Thanks again Lori. I'm sure I'll give in & eat some before bed.

Yeah, but I don't think they'll scratch easily.

Chim, have you scratched any of yours??

Just my red one but that came from a hard drop to the pavement that broke my IBTanked a while back. They've all held up really well considering I mostly just drop them in my purse or my pocket most days. Hence how the red one ended up with the nick in it...it was in my left pocket & fell when I was opening the for to get out:(
