My mom used to just shake her head and tell me "I just don't understand. You ate everything when you were a baby"

I would laughs and tell her that I used up all my "new taste experiances" as a baby I guess.
Oh gosh, my babies wouldn't eat hardly any of the baby food. Not that I could blame them!

How many children & grandchildren do you have RG?

Forty?!?..ugh, that's so far away
Don't bet on it!!

You'll wake up one day and be shocked by who you see in the mirror
How many children & grandchildren do you have RG?
Our kids are 34, 26,24,and the baby is 22.
We have 4 grand kids. The oldest turned 16 this year and the youngest is 2 1/2.
I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The oldest of my neices and nephews is only 4 years younger then me. I think. Time kind of muddies that recollection.
I was the baby of the family. I will be 55 in November.
When I started first grade my next closest sibling started high school.
I was a total pain in their sides.

Pretty good sized family :)
I only had the two, a DS 26, and a DD 24 ... between the two of them and their's we have two natural GD's and four other GK's.

Oh, now I can eat my weight in mashed potatoes. Add cottage cheese on the side or better still stir the cottage cheese in the mashed potatoes.

I love bologna on toast with butter and grape jelly. There is something about the contrast of the jelly and the bologna that makes my mouth water.
If they could make a juice that tastes like a bologna and cheese sandwich on the first two slices of bread from a fresh loaf I'd give away all my other juices.

All this talk of food and family reminds me of a story that shows how things have changed.
My mom used to use the thin whispy branches off the maple tree to swat at my bare legs during the summer if I got way out of line. You know just hard enough to sting, but never broke the skin. I was about 10 I think and I got the bright idea to get the step ladder from the garage and cut the lowest hanging ones off the maple tree so she couldn't reach them. She went one day a few days later to cut one off the tree and went "hmmP" and didn't say a word.
Victory I thought.
When my dad got home from work that day she said "Dad come outside I need to show you something". They walked to the tree and looked up. My Dad turned to me, and then he walked into the garage and got the step ladder. He cut all the thin little branches he could reach and handed them to my mom. My mom took them and put them in their bedroom someplace.
Neither one of them said anything to me, but let me tell you what, my MOM never had to use one of those switches after that day.

PS> I think my dad actually like those little whispy new branches gone as he didn't have to duck to mow under the tree anymore.
