I'm not exactly gone, I'm in and out doing a touch of housework, a bit of crochet and a bit of surfing. Nice to have a day for a change I'm not running around like crazy. :)

Eldest DS sold his house near us and moved to N. Colorado. He is working on the pipeline up there and his wife is an assistant principal so they bought a house up there.:(

The grand girls start school tomorrow so they were a handful this weekend. Plus they had "Auntie" who loves to squeal and is as excitable as they are. Even Poppa was tired enough to be happy when it was time to take them home!

    Hey Bobbi!!

    Rough weekend huh?

More like a couple of weeks really, we have one more load of wood to pick up but will do it tomorrow. The final inspection is Wednesday and then they close on Thursday. Oh well, it's all good.

Just having fun making some gifts for Christmas now. Picked up some yarn I like and some specialty yarn so am having a peaceful day. :)

Things better now that you are home?

Well, I'm glad you're having a peaceful day then!, hopefully soon you'll have a more settled period than the last couple weeks.

Everything is always better at home

Edit:  I've lost my snickers!! PANIC STATIONS!!

Edit 2:...Found it, hiding behind my laptop. I'll now return to your regularly scheduled chat.

    Frightening moment there!

It will be calmer for a bit anyway. This year we will still keep the girls even though they are in school. Since that DS, DIL and the GS all work from early Saturday til very late, we take them the night before and end up keeping them til late afternoon Sunday. A sale barn (livestock auction) is no place for to little girls to be unattended!

The job search is starting to get wider though so we may not be able to continue to do it. If we need to move out of the area I am hoping for a remote camp in the mountains... not remote enough to lack electricity or plumbing, but at least an hour from town would be nice..

But for today I am concentrating on finishing up one Christmas gift so I can start on others. :)

    :tumble::tumble:..

Hello everyone that turns up at some point ..

Work was so slow today, all I did was lurk and recreate someone elses sketch  I ran out of ideas.

    Hi there WDS

Sorry I haven't been around much today ... just not feeling well and been resting a lot, plus DH has the desk top now & i'm on the 10 inch

Bless your heart Bobbi, you've sure had a rough year; you certainly deserve a few peaceful days :)

Aww, feel better soon Dale! Hate to see you feeling bad so much!

Not a bad year Dale, maybe not the best but it has had a lot of good points in it. I have my family and my lurker family, I'm well fed (my waistline will attest to that!), we have a place to lay our heads, God is good to me and I am content with everything.

I must say with the weather still in the high 90 to 100+ degrees a nice place in the mountains sounds nice. :)

Was frightening, thought I had to live life forever snicker-less.

You don't wanna be townsfolk huh. I'd have to agree, I'd prefer a remote location  what's the Christmas gift you're making?

I'm working on a black scarf with a silver edge now. I will be making them for both DIL, one wants a black and a blue; t'other wants cardinal red and a blue. Good thing they go fast! I need to figure a green afghan or comforter (duvet) for eldest DS too... Also have some psycho variegated colors to make scarves, wristlets and leg warmers for the girls. I should have started sooner...:ohmy:

This is the pic on the skein
