    Awwwh! (((((HUGS)))))
My grandmother wasn't able to cook as much the last 2 years of her life & you could tell she missed it.
I was away at school in Michigan & every time I called or came for a visit she'd tell me she was going to fix my banana pudding:)
My GM was a tough woman but it was tough seeing her not be able to do what she loved to do. Before she cooked nearly everyday. And I won't even get into what the Alzheimer's did to her taste buds. She'd have a craving for something, eat it but of course it didn't taste right. She couldn't even enjoy her meals. Makes me sad to think about it.

    Aw sweetie {{{BG}}}

    Wonderful cherished memories!!

Okay, I'm really going this time. :) BBL.

    Yes they are:)

    See you later dear.

You can make cornbread without a cast iron skillet?

    Hahaha!

    Don't forget about frying hushpuppies!

What utensil are you using to whip the eggs?
A wire whisk works well. You must lift it to get the air in.
Wish I could just show you

I'm using her wire whisk. She had a couple so mom gave me one of GM's after she passed. I was hoping it would pass on some of her skills to me:laugh:

Yeah, I wasn't really serious

No way a drumstick can compete with a fresh made dip cone! :D

I'm sure, eating that thing was a mistake. Your fault too, I saw that GIF and thought ooooo, cone so went and got it. :p

Although, it was my own stupidity that said a cone at 2.30am was a good idea.

I should probably say good night to you then :)

No no!! I always use cast iron for cornbread!

If it's dry try using buttermilk ;)
I'll try that next time. I have not tried buttermilk. :)
