I was actually just wondering what the tradition was....
I knew there Was one.....just did not know what it was.

As aside note, as traditions came up last night at midnight.... All the gratuitous smooching footage on TV. Youngest asked why....eldest said it was tradition...hubby says, yeah, made up by some boy to get a kiss from his girl, tells the other boys it worked, rumor spread like wildfire and......you know the rest! Lol

I'm not cooking. We ordered 2 large pizzas yesterday, one of them is for today.
I'm kinda laid up at the moment I did something to my lower back and it is Hurting(!). What a way to start the New Year *sigh*. This day 3 with back issues. Ugh. It started the day after I got back from Michigan.

I bet traditions are different all over. All I know about the pork thing, is because pigs are always rooting forward as they're digging for food etc. Never going backwards. Which is why to never have chicken on new years because they scratch backwards and we don't want that

I made scrapple and egg sammiches for breakfast, so I guess we got that pork thing out of the way early! Yay!

Yay lol. DH's traditional food includes eating lots of peas (regular or black-eyed lol) with the meal because that represents acquiring more money in the new year!
