Hi Lori, I'm a new lurker and as you took the time to give any of us new guys a glimpse in to your life and cause I'm generally a bubbling bucket of empathy and emotion, thought I should say how sorry I am to hear about your dad and alzheimers. I can't imagine how difficult it must be sometimes but at least today was a good day and a smile at an I love you sounds like it was heard and understood. So here's to your dad and more of the better days! :beer:

Dale- yes, my juices do tend to be darker, because I lean towards chocolates, nuts....sweeter flavors. I also tend to stay as close to 100vg as possible, which does not help with hardware longevity.

Lori- believe it or not, I did want to start building my own coils!! In fact, I did build one this afternoon (took an hour and four tries) and it was exciting and stuff! It was 2.5, which was decent for a first try... Except then I got on here and read that I could Not use my cotton kitchen butcher's twine (Farber ware) which I had boiled twice, thank you very much...because some crabby person said it would burn and you might as well go back to smoking rather than making vapers look bad by setting ones self on fire..... *sigh*
But I do need some guidance on the whole thing, as I would def like to move away from silica.

Congratulations on your first coil!! I was so excited with my first working coil!! After about 100, the thrill is gone...but, I love being able to recoil my own and not have to wait for them in the mail.

Chapel, Lori uses 100% VG also and say's that her heads only last one day (sweet juices also) so you may just be stuck with that unless you find some clear juice's you like ... sorry

Love and huge hugs Lori. I lost my dad to alzheimers years before I lost my dad to alzheirmers. I cannot think of a more cruel disease for the family to live through. I feel your pain and my prayers have been with you all day since you said where you were going. If you need someone to listen feel free to contact me about it anytime. I had the misfortune of being the only one who would go see him for the last few years because it "hurt" everyone else too much to see him "like this." I was always daddy's girl and on the best days it is a draining and painful thing to do. God bless you, know my heart is with you.

The woman I work with used to use the clearos too, and they would last at least a few weeks for her, I never understood how they lasted so long for her either, her evod heads last about as long. She vaped Juicy Fruit, now called Fruity (?) Something, cant remember, from Mt. Baker Vapor, and Grape...again from MBV.

I'm so sorry to read about your dad. I do feel your pain. My grandmother (the only active grandparent I've ever had in my life) had Alzheimer's. It's a tough thing. Her kidneys were failing closer to the end so it made it impossible to treat both but it was a 2 year struggle. I forgot to mention this was while I was away for school in michigan & that she lived with us for the last 20 years of her life. I felt so guilty being away but in her moments if clarity she would also tell me to go back & do good.

Ok. I'll stop. Always brings tears to my eyes when I talk about her. I miss her so much when I go home. Feels strange that she's not in her bedroom even after almost 5 years. You and your family are in my prayers as always!

Well Lori, it was immediately apparent that you're all very close and I tend to seek out this type of thing. kindness costs nothing in the world yet there are so few willing to be, so when I find a group of people that just are naturally and genuinely kind, I want to be a part of that group and already feel like I am, thanks for the welcome.
