Phew, What a day.

It's wet outside yet again people! Snow has to be a possibility, I'm rarely cold but this morning my jaw aches from my teeth chattering. chattering.jpg

Good morning all!
Slept like a baby until about 4:30. Rita wakes up then. She's my little alarm clock, but I wish I could change the time to what it's supposed to be.

Bye Torey! Hope you get your Oreos. Now I want some too. My favorite are the peanut butter flavored, with DOUBLE STUFF!! How about regular Oreos are VEGAN!!!! Guess it's because there's nothing "natural" in them. Not sure if the peanut butter flavored ones are.

Sorry it's so cold Welsh, it's pretty cold here too. Just at the freezing mark. But supposed to warm up to about 42F, sorry I don't have a conversions for that. Thankfully I don't see any more snow in our forecast for the week, so that encouraging.

Dale is usually up by now, guess she's sleeping in.

Ugh, I cannot believe it's Monday already. :( Weekends are just too short.

Well I'm off for more coffee.

So, funny story for you Welsh.
My husband has a friend who is from England. They always have teased him that he sounds like he's from Australia, just to wind him up.
They were at a meeting awhile ago, and they introduced him to someone new, who said to him, "Oh, are you from Australia"
The other guys who knew better, were saying...."Yeah, say....throw another shrimp on the barbee..."
Another guy walks up, who had missed the initial conversation, says the same thing..."Wow, are you from Australia"?

So, they're at another meeting a few weeks later, same thing happens. Female server comes to take his order and afterward, she asks if he's from Australia. The whole table about dropped to the floor!

It's a lot funnier when my DH tells it, gosh...he had me crying when he told me. The poor guy is finally getting the humor of it, but I don't think he thought it was funny at first.
I think he now gets that we just can't distinguish the accents, I guess, and we just assume everyone is from Australia.

 You need to ask where in England he's from, I may hazard a guess at possibly, Newcastle, in which case I can actually see why they'd say Oz. I wince to think where you'd think Welsh people are from with our accent.

We used to watch a lot of BBC. I love all the accents. Then we didn't get the channel for awhile, and now a lot of the shows have changed.

I used to like: Changing Rooms. The one that they revamped the backyards, can't remember the name of it though, but the shows host was hysterical. Then of course, So Graham Norton. His show was hit and miss sometimes though.

I watch maybe two British shows to be honest, I find our TV lacking in genuine entertainment
I'll of course tolerate Rugby on the BBC but other than that, American sitcoms. The only one I can think of as far as backyard makeovers (feels weird typing backyard)..was Ground Force. I don't remember Alan Titchmarsh being funny though

That was it. Ground Force. Maybe it was one of his helpers who was funny. I remember someone was always getting hurt, not seriously hurt, that wouldn't be funny, but just dinged up a bit.

Well, I have to go get ready for work. I usually lurk from work to try to keep up, and pop in if time allows.
Have a wonderful day! The others should be on soon.

Just came across this thread -- Nice one I'll be back. Happy Monday!

Hey Sirius!

be sure to return, we like people. (was that creepy?)
Felt like I was part of hansel and gretel, enticing you in to my sweet house then pre-heating the oven. We won't cook you, honest.

Edit: Lori might cook you, had to be honest, she probably has a recipe. (sorry Lori )
