If you're going to drill them, I recommend using a drill press. With a hand-held drill, it helps to dimple the carto in the spot you want to drill (light tap with hammer and nail works for that). Just be careful not to hit the filler, it can get caught on the drill bit and get ripped all to hell

I just punch them with a hammer and nail, myself. 2 holes in a Boge carto (1/16" or 3/32" is a good size, Boges are very forgiving and size and amount of holes doesn't matter too much), only one in a dual coil at about 3/32" (more or bigger and I wind up with flooding issues, smaller and it doesn't wick well). YMMV, of course ;-)

VG juices work fine in tanks as long as the carto is able to wick. I use some all-VG juice in tanks with Boge cartos all the time and one hole on each side seems to work perfect for me

Yup, i have a drill press that's why i was asking.. Seems like if you have a drill press it would be easier and more consistent than slotting or punching. I wanna make a little holding jig for the carto too so drilling them in the press is cake.

I'll give those sizes a try and see how they work. Thanks for the reply!

Well, i guess I'll just have to try everything and see what works best! I'm also interested in trying a saddle valve, but people seem to think they dull after awhile..

So much new stuff to screw around with! :D

Buzz should be here in T-minus 30 mins and counting!

Yup, we all have our favorite way of making the carto holes. I went to all the trouble to peel off a label, scrape and clean the glue residue off and then mark and slot the other night...filled the carto, tank it and fill tank, and the lil ....... was a dud carto

It just got here!! So awesome I can barely contain myself. #1130! A lot smaller and lighter than it looked in pictures. One question though, is it normal for the batteries to rattle around a little bit?
Yes , we made it slightly larger to fit all types of batts, take 1/3 of a business card and slide it in the tube , rattle GONE < some batts have larger OD to them so we adjusted the tube size .

There she is!! (picture may be mediocre, taken with my mp3 player.. DSLR batteries are dead!)

Got the batteries to stop rattling by putting a few wraps of electrical tape on them. This thing is AWESOME. I really love it already!! It's soo nice to be able to set it to whatever voltage you want.. it's also amazing to not have to take 10 second, lung collapsing drags to get a decent hit. The color is fantastic, and the brass is a lot brighter than it looked in all the pictures. It's also a hell of a lot smaller and lighter than I was expecting - easily pocketable. And ohh that nice clicky button!

I also just punched a carto about 10 minutes ago and got the tank fired up - WOW what a difference. Every drag tastes like you just topped it off! I also until about 10 minutes ago, had NO idea how terrible it is to try to get the glue off a carto! Peeled the label off in 10 seconds, thought to myself "well that was easy..?" and then proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes getting the damn glue off.

I punched the carto quickly with a deck screw because it's like 8* out right now and it was the fastest way I could think of. Put two holes in it, and it's working pretty well so far! Getting the carto in the tank the first time without tearing the o-rings was a little challenging even after being lubed with juice, but it went in eventually with no harm done.

Currently vaping some chai from AVE.. not my favorite but my juice order is still on the way. Currently @ 5.5v with what I'm guessing is a 3ohm boge.. never seen so much vapor outta those high resistance cartos. I also love the fact that the trustfire charger actually has a cord on it too.. the little things, you know?

As a side note - One of my other vaping friends thought I was crazy for spending the money on the buzz. I saw her earlier, set the buzz to the green and gave it to her.. not impressed. She said it was just like her ego. Then I cranked it up to the other end of the dial.. and now she sees the light! :vapor:

Now I just need to procure some CherryVapes driptips and i'll be made in the shade.

Thanks for the sweet tarts and the mint too! They're gone already :D
