Max-DNA20D... Lexi's big brother

I figured it was about time for Lexi to have a sibling.

Max has an aluminum enclosure with metal end caps and internal charging. By putting the switches and display on the side, I was able to fit 2, 1800mAh 20C li-poly batts for a total of 3600mAh, 72A. I am totally looking forward to loooooooooong vape times between batt charges.

In order to fit the dual li-poly batts, I had to replace the charging board that came with the case with Evolv's micro-USB charging board.

Max has the same width and depth as Lexi and is about 1/2" taller.

Wow mamu! You are inspiring me!!! I started looking at these threads over my Christmas vacation, got inspired, and built my first crude mod. I have built a couple more, all simple 3.7 boxes in different enclosures. My goal is getting my skills up to the point to be able to build a couple of you examples!!! I'm having a blast! Yes - that's the case for Max - good price on it too looks to be on sale right now. I had to do some extensive dremeling on the inside along each side to remove the bar inserts so everything would fit. For the batts, just search for 1800mAh 20 C. I couldn't find any that came in singles, so bought the 3 in series set. And I used Evolv's micro-USB charging board instead of the board that came with the case. With the way it's packed on the inside, there's not an unch of room to spare.

So if I understand correctly, you are using 2 1800mAH batts removed from a 5400mAH 3s pack? Google isnt being very helpful on searching a 1800 mAH that will fit in such small case.

Three 1800mAh batts in series is 1800mAh, 11.1v. At a l i e x p r e s s . c o m search for HRB rc Lipo Battery 11.1V 1800MAh 20C. When you get em apart they're shorter than 106mm. If you use the charging board that comes with the case they are too long to fit, that's why I used Evolv's micro-USB charging board..

My goodness - aren't you the wise one to point that out.

If ECF didn't filter out a l i e x p r e s s . c o m then we'd be able to use the URL button or add [ URL ][ /URL ] to the link. So adding spaces between each letter to the web site and telling what exactly to search for is the best we have.

Gotcha, I was trying to find a 5400mAH pack. I have the DNA charger, it is a tiny thing.

You can. More work though and I have no idea why EFC filters a l i e x p r e s s . c o m. Probably some word in there that is offensive. We do have multiple languages that frequent these pages.
