the credit was given before we knew the boxes were damaged, small but important difference

Very important difference...promises and resolutions offered for 2 different problems: inconvenience and undeliverable boxes. No wonder there was confusion...the 1st credit was offered before they knew that boxes were damaged. The bottom line is we paid $136 for a pre-order item offered at $69.95.

I heard it's currently in R&D with a sub-contractor -

Alrighty.

Got my 901 adapter and popped in a new 901 atomizer.

I've had problems with the stick Janty-supplied pen atomizer's lack of throat hit and I haven't smoked a 901 in a very long time...ever since I got my 510.

Well I have to say, after the primer wore off and I got the liquid balance right (i'd overtopped and sucked in fluid, yick), this is a champ.

This is still only the first night but what I got was:
- The flavor I expect of a 901 (imho the best flavor as it does not burn as hot as the 510)
- The 901 signature throat hit; in between a pen and 510 on the 510 end of the scale.
*EDIT*
- The only thing missing is the primer puff and McDonald's milkshake style hard as hell draw that the original DSE 901 required. My least favorite part of the 901 and now moot point on this manual 901.

WOOHOO!!!

Can't wait to blow another $20 on the 510/dura adapter and my collection will be complete.

So we paid almost double, didn't get the engraving, had to wait longer than others, didn't get the nice boxes, appear to have some duplicate S/N's on LE sticks...just remember, we DID get an extra battery:nah:

Well, I've had my JS for a week, and I'm having absolutely no problems. The thing is performing flawlessly.

Seriously love mine too and I just received a couple more with adapters and accessories *raspberries* :pervy:

 Well, at least you didn't call me a fan boy.

Remember, though, I had one of the LEs, so all you pre-order folks have had your sticks a week longer than me. Let's see what tune I'm singing in another week. 8-o :)

Seriously, there are always glitches in new productions. Survivors of the original Dura know what I'm talking about. It may take some time, but I feel confident that the bugs will get worked out, improvements will be made, and ultimately, all customers will be taken care of.

Of course, with my fully functioning Stick, I suppose it's easy for me to counsel patience. ;)

Well, I've had the 901 adapter for a few days now, and I'm pretty darned happy with it.

I'm personally finding the flavor is much better with the 901 as opposed to the penstyle atomizer.

The flavor is comparable to what I get from my Screwdriver.

The downside to the 901 atomizer with the Stick in my mind is the fact that the adapter/atomizer is so recessed into the body. While it makes for a sleek and compact device, I miss being able to direct drip with no mouthpiece. Yes, I am soooooooo lazy that with my Screwdriver, I direct drip and don't bother to put the mouthpiece on. I find that it's easier and provides a stronger hit. Can't do that with the Stick.

However, I do believe that the Stick is doing a better job of draining the 901 cartridge than the SD does. With my SD, I seem to have to top off a lot more frequently than I do with the Stick. Also, I don't seem to notice a degradation in vapor with the Stick until my cartridge is down below 1/2 full, which for me is an improvement over the SD. Even so, I won't be replacing my SD, although my Stick is now ably serving alongside my SD. :)

Overall, I'm more pleased with my 901 atomizer and the Stick than I was with the penstyle atomizer based on taste alone.

Okay, I'm usually pretty quiet. I just browse the forums and buy stuff. I want to start by saying that my first experience with Janty wasn't a good one and it ended in a refund during the first Dura fiasco. So, I am not a Janty 'fanboy' as some might say. But.. that is starting to change. I've had a few weeks with the stick now. I can honestly say that I'm not sure what everyone is doing to their poor sticks! I have two of them and both of them perform flawlessly. I get tons of vapor, the flavor is what's to be expected in an 801 device, throat hit is there but not too powerful, my switches are both still fine, mine don't leak, my finish is still the same way it was on day one and I vape a alot. I'd say moderate to heavy anyway. You guys should all be arrested for stick abuse. ;) I'm kidding of course. But it is puzzling. I'm seriously considering a third and I'm not sure that I'll ever use any of the other stuff I have in my arsenal again.

I had one issue with my order where an extra atty wasn't included, Ethan took care of it within days of me emailing him.

All in all? I'm a very satisfied customer this time around. I only wish they sold the little leather pouch separately. My dog likes leather and I left one of mine on the arm of the sofa when I went out to work in the yard, my stick in tow.

Oh, and all of my attys fit perfectly, from many different sources.

I'm a fellow Dura survivor and have to fullheartidly agree. At one point I wanted to encase my Dura in concrete and cast it overboard to the deepest, darkest point in the sea but with patience and warranty replacements it is a much better vape now. The Sticks flaws will be worked out...

Love my Stick, but the atty wheezes quite loudly with a normal draw.

_____________

I have the same problem. Also I don't get clouds of vapor or flavor. Draw is also light. I never had 801 or 901 so I don't know what should I expect, but to compare to my Vapor King or KR808D I am not impressed by JS. I get much better vapor and flavor from VK / KR 808D. I tried janty's atomizer and atty from MVS, different juices - same result. Also I got blisters from changing attys and it is impossible to remove a battery without some kind of hook because it is getting stuck on the bottom and sometimes does not make contact. Should I return it? Anybody else has VK or KR808D to compare with JS?
Also nobody answer my emails regarding my incomplete/mixed up order.

I think you are missing the most valuable aspect of the higher price. The one year warranty is double the warranty offered on normal sticks. If you apply the $25 credit it is under $10 a month in hardware cost over the course of the warranty. It seems a fair price to get double the warranty for under double the cost. I'm not trying to agitate anyone but rather pointing out that it may not be as bad of a deal as it seems. Do the math on other devices out there and apply the cost over the warranty period. The stick is hard to beat, the LE stick is even harder to beat.
