great post i assume AW from candle power forums.
i read the same thing there, i think i am going to order a couple from him. on a side note: i did get 2 of the UFs 10440, they are preforming the same as the janty. It would be nice if we could hold a steady 4v though

Yes, AW from CPF. Lighthound also carries them and is in the US. I started with two Ultrafires also, but one was DOA.

So on the stick exactly how much voltage is going to the atomizer?

All of it...AFAIK, there is no regulation in the stick.

The Stick draws from 1 to 1.2 amps, but if I try to test at a constant discharge that high the cell would surely blow. I'm sure that's why you get the red led after 6 seconds...the rated max discharge of this size cell is about .7 amps. I plan on upgrading my software and will be able to do duty cycle tests. I think a 6 second 1.2 amp discharge every 5 minutes would give a better idea how the cells will work in the Stick.

I received my Jantystick in 2 days.....However, I had a problem with it! Ethan tried his best to help me online but was unable to. In less than 2 hours after hearing my problem he had a new unit in the mail!! His online help has been great and his service has been excellent!!! I have ordered items from Phil at E-Smokey Treats and his service is great too! I would say both sites have wonderful customer service.

Thanks for the advice. I had also been in contact with Ethan. Payment has been sent.

Just for in case others may have this problem.
Once I registered with Janty USA I received an e-mail to welcome me. It came to my inbox just fine. For whatever reason the e-mail for order confirmation, which came from the same location, went to my spam folder. Strange to me since the send from address is identical. A reminder to always check your spam, just in case.

I am very disappointed in my Janty Stick.
1. Too often I hit the button and get no vapor.
2. Too often I hit the button and the vapor tastes HORRIBLE.. sort of burnt.
3. The carts are so tight that I have to remove the atomizer and then pull out the cart .. Other wise, I would probably rip the insides out trying to remove the cart.

On the PLUS SIDE .. I love that you can charge and vape at the same time. I wish that was a feature with the Prodigy or Screwdriver. I really LOVE my SD.

Maybe I received a problem unit ? I haven't written to Janty yet ..

1. you atomizer may not be "seated" properly
2. your cart is too dry or the stuffing is not contacting the atomizer
3. turn the cart to the right while pulling it out. I know it sounds counterintuative, but it works very well.

On a side note, this is the second or third post that I have seen from you complaining about the Stick. It's fine if you don't like it. Different strokes and all that..............but to complain 2 or 3 times while admitting you haven't contacted Janty about your problems...........................

Thought I'd ask this here as it seems to take awhile for Janty to email me back ( this could be due to Windows mail or eset nod32 ).

Ethan replied to my Warranty request email and I have the following questions.

1. I'm located in Canada and am wondering if Janty is going to charge me to ship the replacement unit.
2. Aside from my name and address what other information should I send along with my Janty stick.

I freaked out when my Stick stopped and ordered another Stick ( as it was the only e-cig I owned ) so now I will have two and not have to worry about one breaking. Though I don't believe mine is a common problem. What happened is that my battery gets stuck in the stick body and this forced me to have to tap it on my hand to free the batterie to change it. Shortly after doing this one day I notice it wasn't lighting up. when I pluged it in the l.e.d just flickered and the unit wouldn't produce vapour. the next day after shaking the Stick like Hommer shakes Bart it magicly started working again, though I have not dared to change the batterie since. I'm hopeing the baterie is easier to remove with the V2 model.

though I've had this issue I still Love my Stick and would / have recomended it to friends and family. Can't wait to see what other devices Janty makes. I have a strange desire to get a e-pipe, not sure why, never used a pipe just think it would be cool. Hoping Janty makes one.
