Battery inserted: three red flashes
Switch on: no LED light status, no heat from atomizer
Switch off: three red flashes
^^ this occurs every time and shows no variation. This is after the battery charged for 9 hours in the stick via USB.

USB in, no battery: USB LED engages and stays engaged, as long as USB is in
USB in, no battery: switch on: no LED light status, no no heat from atomizer
USB in, no battery: switch off: no activity

Help?

Did you try another atomizer ? if yes and still not working, screw the atomizer in alone with a paper towel for grip, make sure it is tight, then but the cart in.

I don't have another atomizer. How can I confirm the atomizer is shot? This is a Janty Classic Atomizer. I cleaned it after reading your message and I get the same results. Is the brass fitting soldered to the black casing? I'd love to inspect the actual heating element.

First try turning it tight with a paper towel without the cart in, then put in the cart, see if that works.
If not, you need to try another atomizer, you should have 2 or 3 extras on hand at all times, you need not have to use a Janty, there are others out their at very low prices that work great with the stick. The Janty stick atomizer is warranted for 6 months from date of purchase

The only visible difference in the versions that I can see is the LED light band is a little thinner on the V2. They said the switch is now laser welded rather than glued, but I can't see if it is or not, it has not come loose yet, but it's only been a few days.

There's no difference in taste that I can tell, tho I think that pretty much depends on the atty used.

The draw on the V2 is a little firmer, due mostly to the new sealing at the bottom of the atty chamber I think. I haven't looked down in there with a light or a magnifier yet, I'll have to get around to that sometime.

Overall, it is very much like the first version externally and with regard to operation, at least to me. Both are excellent.

I made sure it's tight. I might be tricking myself here - I'm not sure if this was the originally occurring problem or whether it's just now gotten worse: Now, when I'm not in USB:

insert battery, get 3 light flashes, but now NO 3 light flashes after switching off. The stick's status hasn't changed from the original post, so long as USB is plugged in.

Make sure the battery is in the right way, positive side with the nipple has to facing the screw cap

That's Great, my V1 is still working fine with no issues, may get the V2 as a back up.

I received my Jantystick in 2 days.....However, I had a problem with it! Ethan tried his best to help me online but was unable to. In less than 2 hours after hearing my problem he had a new unit in the mail!! His online help has been great and his service has been excellent!!! I have ordered items from Phil at E-Smokey Treats and his service is great too! I would say both sites have wonderful customer service.

i received mine today.
The atomizer will not make contact with the shaft.
No matter how hard i screw it in.
Is that the problem you are having also?

I guess that will depend on how they achieve "fully sealed" If they do it on the connector then probably not..If they leave the connector design alone Id have to say yes.

I just got my V2 stick today - Had 2 V1's that both had switch issues - As far as the leak stopping it looks like they just put some type of sealant material down around the connector - The V2 looks EXACTLY like the V1 except for this - The switch looks exactly the same - Except it has a slightly stiffer feel with no clicking sound like the V1 - So I'll take them at their word that it is different - It doesn't look much different though -

The V2 is NOT a new design - Looks like they just put some patches on the V1 to me - The fit of the atty (KBC-304 in my case) Is VERY TIGHT at the connect point - Looking inside I can see that it looks like the sealant has gotten on the threads of the connector and around it's edges - This seems to be what was making it so hard to get screwed on - I had to use pliers to get it to screw on - It was also drawing VERY HARD - sealant blocking air holes

When I removed it there was a lot of residual sealant material in the threads - After putting the atty in and out about 6 or 7 times it is getting smother as it digs the excess material out of its way - I still have to use pliers though (and I have pretty strong fingers) - 6 -7 more times and I may be able to do it without pliers - It seems like it will loosen up with time as it forges a path through the sloppy sealing job - The draw is good now -

So - In short - Anything that works on V1 should work on V2 - They didn't really change anything except possibly the switch - Only time will tell how that holds up- It does feel a little different and as I said it does not click when pressed - But - it looks EXACTLY the same in every other way - Performance so far seems to be identical as well (very good imo) - Overall still happy with the Stick - But if this switch fails in 4 days like the first 2 V1's did - My patience will be wearing thin - The guys at Janty are great about replacing them - BUT - How many times will they have to do this before I get one that works properly for more than 4 days? - We shall see - :(
