I think both me, and the rest of Janty didnt expect people to get upset about us delaying it, seeing as we havent said "it will come out on this date" and then postponed. We simply did a competition, and with held the answers - when noone guessed it anyways.

You're missing (or, I pray not, intentionlly ignoring) what is upsetting to me and perhaps others. You haven't run the contest transparently. No one who submitted a guess knows yet whether they were 1/2 right, in the right direction, totally wrong, ...

It is as if you displayed a jar of beans and said "On September 1 we'll tell you how many beans are there and award a prize to the first person who guessed within 100 of the answer." Then on September 1 you say no one was close enough, award the prize at random, and don't disclose the number of beans. Do you think those who submitted guesses would not be a little disturbed at the lack of transparency?

You haven't given an answer which makes any sense to me as to why the answer wasn't released. As a result I can't help but wonder whether the answer is a moving target.

Yeah well, excuse me for not taking it so hard. Its fine you guys experienced something, and you want to dwell in it, - i dont. I try to move on and I hope the Cameo will be something you like, and are able to enjoy as much as i do!

But time will tell i guess.

Now if youll excuse me, gotta reboot and make a video of the twinbox prototype as i promised another user.. ill upload it here soon.

Yes but by your own response. You say you try to move on. This is fine, yet something hopefully people learn in life and business is, Learn from your mistakes. We have mentioned the janty fiasco and you blow it off. As several people have mentioned this is the same fiasco with even more hype. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. But maybe with the next Janty item they will learn, don't promise what you can't deliver. Doubtful though. Seems like Janty likes the hype.

"Now if youll excuse me, gotta reboot and make a video of the twinbox prototype as i promised another user.. ill upload it here soon."

would that be before or after the 24 hour waiting period to see an empty black box named 'cameo'?

Oh, my mistake... you said 24 days?
That's what it will take to implement the suggestions collected in the 'contest'?

awww mouse give the guy a break - he's moved on.... has his priorities straight and is working on a new prototype that doesn't seem to be named 'cameo'.

Got it.
Thanks

One thing is true. Nevertheless it does not excuse lack of tact.

Between a simple design on paper, and actually getting that product to perform, there's an abyss.
The inventor often has to come to grips with the fact that there is a gap between what he envisioned, and wishes was true, and what is technically feasible.

I have seen products that were patented 12 years ago and are still being developed today because the inventor will not give up his vision, and "Give up" hard to implement features that may not perform correctly.

The logic is to come out to market with a first product, and once all the bugs have been fixed, it's to make that product better and better until it performs 100%.

Well, i dont read posts from the past, as im not part of it.

My jaw dropped when I read this Mik. You really should rethink this.

Two things:

1) You are not representing "Mik e-cigs", you are representing Janty. Their past is now your past.

2) "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"

Seems to me its kinda like a video game's release date....sometimes they have to push it back to fix a glitch...or add some new features.......people get upset yes....but they still buy it in the end. Sorry you guys cant realize that the lack of a product on its due date is usually a good thing, or the product would be flawed. HOWEVER.....i have no history nor have i heard of any history with Janty.....so you guys could be correct and they might be doing this "again"? Just throwing my .00002cents worth. Cuz i dont know anything lol....

PS.... please dont hate me guys for trying to stick up for him....lol just wanted to to throw the video game analogy in there...

1) Yes, it might be "my past" now too, but its not one i dwell on. Im not here to correct past mistakes, or bash in previous glory. Im here to help design new products, and service where im needed.

2) Those who dwell in the past, tend to live in the past.

It seems to me like alot of you people are transfering your past experiences to me; If thats what you need, then go for it. I have broad shoulders.

But try to remember that im just a guy at work; If i had to spend all my time reading about Janty's complete history, and all the arguments, discussions, letters, etc, there would not be time to make new products, or maintain any kind of present customer relation, now would there?

So, just the fact that im still here, still answering, not defending, but maintaining that i will gladly hear what you have to say, while still going in depth (as much as i can) about anything you ask me, without fear should if anything show you that i care deeply about both Janty, and its customers.

Now, i have to get back to making this video as i promised another user, so.. if you will have me excused. :hubba:

Don't need you to correct past mistakes. Would have been helpful not to make the SAME mistakes again though.

Hey all, I'm new to vaping sort of, smoked my last analog on the 13th of august at 10:30 pm. I used to smoke marlboro smooths (had a minty menthol taste) and couldn't stand a regular red or anything like that. SO when i started vaping I've tried like 15 different flavors from two different brands, both well known. One is fairly good so far (brand that is) sept for the fact that it starts to burn my throat after very little time which is a really bad thing. Makes it very unenjoyable. So i tried this other brand that had reduced PG content, and well... none of those flavors are even remotely like they say they are. They all taste the same to me... That one also was burning my throat after a little bit. SO last night I decided ah what the heck, and pulled out a high strength pre-attomized cart of Tobacco flavor which I already thought smelled HORRID. Well... I vaped it, vaped it some more and was like hmm... this isnt bad actually... wtf? XD

So for the tl;dr, here I am at Janty. I see this "Boost" and RY2 3 and 4 liquids. Also the vanilla I'm interested in. What's the deal with those flavors, anyone able to liken them to something I may have tasted?

Some atty's do that burning of the throat ...especially at higher voltages.
Sometimes when there's not enough juice in the atty, you can get that harshness.
What stick are you using? What atty?
I do not think your problem may be related to the juices.
