I do not own any of these products. However the fact that this company is utilizing this FREE tool to their advantage is a sign of a smart company using every available medium accesible to them, and they are taking an active stance within said medium.

The fact that they are communicating with their customer base, asking for input, taking collective information and acting upon it is a sign of a company that listens to its customer base.

..... all you want to - but just because a company is using a tool available to them and making it work to their own and their customer's advantage, there is no reason to fault them for it. The forums here provide them a place to do so that from what I understand they pay a fee for and you have a choice to participate here or not. So... don't participate in this particular forum if you feel it is against your best interest right?

Take care,
- Hap

First can I say... welcome back Elendil, havent seen you around for ages, and you were missed...

Dr Russelll Fell..

Big Companies pay Market Research companies to ask the questions.. that ends up costing us, the customer, as its reflected in the price.

It is still costing Janty a lot of money to produce prototypes, the difference this time, is we dont have to buy them first in order to point out what we dont like !

So yes, Im all for this idea... And yes, I will continue to give my opinion, as I am the one who will get the product I want by doing so...

Money and profit's make us all argue and distrust each other and the motives behind anything, even if someone is giving something away you still expect there is a catch .....support the zeitgeist movement and put an end to it. We will all be be gladly helping each other to improve each and every little thing. We would end up with the perfect e-cig.!! :)

Lmao.at the idea of soldering 2000 units. Don't worry the need to have 'money' to be able to do anything is only something we have invented. It could very easily be different.

I still like the idea of a retractable atty. A Dura (510) unit would be great. You could scrap the double battery idea and just use a larger battery. Maybe not something quite as big as the 18650, but something that has enough power to last a heavy vaper all day. The battery guage and puff counter would be great, but not a deal breaker if it wasn't included. I also like the idea of data storage, since this is something you'd have plugged into your USB port anyway, but once again, it wouldn't be a deal breaker to leave it out. I'd also like a better switch than the Stick. I'm not a fan of those, and they seem to have issues.

Of course, you could take all of the above and put them into a new version of the Stick. If we could get a workable 510 adapter for it, add in the retractable atty (much better than the current recessed atty that's difficult), better switch, and bigger battery, it would be just about perfect. It would most likely have to be a little bigger than the current Stick, but not too big as to be unworkable. I'd also suggest adding a wall charger for the battery for times we aren't around a computer. That would be my ideal Stick.

constructive conversation went out the window when janty took advantage of the boards and expected free market research on this monstrosity.
The only one that threw constructive conversation out the window here is you. Most of us see this use of direct input by the ultimate users as good business - for Janty and for us. What the hell does it matter whether that they get the input for free! If it was against board policy SJ would stop it.

If marketing research is an expense Janty doesn't incur, and our input helps them modify new models before investing more in R&D, it can only be to our benefit - more expenses on their part translates to higher prices for us.

Personally, I think it's great that a company would look for input from its customers about what they want in a product before producing something that nobody is going to buy. If they didn't, they might end up making something like a PV with an MP3 player in it or something...oh wait...nevermind. (just kidding Janty).

Anyway... I haven't read this entire thread and I'm sure others have mentioned this, but in the short time I've been vaping it seems to me the weakest link in the whole thing is the juice delivery system. I mean everyone and their dog is making battery mods which will get you through the day (or 2-3 days in some cases). and the atomizers seem to do their job well. The biggest pain for me is constantly dealing with the juice. There are lots of mods like brass screen, PTBs, straws, etc. to address this, but they only make the problem slightly better at best and most serious vapers end up just direct dripping (still alot of work). What I would really like to see is something that I can empty 3ml of liquid into and forget about it until it's dry. Can you imagine if the gas delivery system in vehicles was this poor, we would have all gone back to bicycles.

As far as the MP3 player... All I really want from my PV is as much vapor as possible with as little hassle as possible. Something I can prep in the morning (like my pot of coffee in my thermos) and just use all day with no worries. (I don't need it to do my taxes along the way)

Just my two cents.

Most mods today are missing a few key features that if included would set you apart from the crowd without the MP3 player.

The retractable atomizer is a great idea and I think you should keep it.

Two batteries are not necessary unless you're vaping at a high voltage. Just choose one battery with a good runtime to keep the size down. And you should always choose protected batteries if given the option.

Most mods are missing an on/off switch to keep from firing the atomizer at an inopportune time. This combined with the retractable atomizer should make everything much more manageable.

Make sure the battery is properly sealed from the atomizer.

And the one thing that sets a mod apart at this point is a really really good switch.

yeah, because $135 for the kissbox and $10 for a bottle of 10 ml juice is a real bargain.

A complaint has been filed to a board admin about your behaviour, and the fact that you keep on ranting about stuff thats non-relevant to this thread, even though i kindly, then firmly, asked you not to do so.

/Mik
