Wow, you can drip 8 - 11 drops on a low bridge atomizer and it doesn't flood it? Seems like my Janty Stick's supplied low bridge unit is flooded if I even put 4 in there! I put em directly on the bridge.

I think a lot of this has to do with the juice viscosity. Thicker juice=less flooding (also somewhat slower wicking), kind of a trade off. It may also have to do with how well your particular atty seals to the adapter. None of the attys is completely sealed (they have to get air through it somehow), but the threading does a respectable job. If you have a two hole atty, less leaking I guess, while a 4 hole atty, more leaking.

If I feel like it, I can pretty much tank up a cart with relatively thick juice and to about the max capacity of the cart (about 1.2 ml) and I get no leaks. I don't do that, though, I just put in enough to last for about a half hour of vaping (about 10 drops or so) at a time. You just have to find your sweet spot with your juice and atty combo.

I ordered a V2 Janty stick. Should it be returned? Is it simply a bad design?

Why would you return a product that was warrantied for 6 months?

I purchased one of the original JS and was sent an automatic, when I pointed out the error, I was sent a manual V1. Thus I have 2 original Janty Sticks, they both still work, with the loss of 1 atomizer between them. (Janty I will be filing for that atty;)). I purchased 2 more Sticks when the V2 came out...1 remains untouched/unopened and the other I cycle with my V1s. My switches are fine and the automatic only fires when I draw. I do minimal cleaning that consists of blowing out a clogged atty and once I had to leave a V1 upside down for 2 days.

My question to you would be...I'm I merely lucky in the PV lottery? times 3? Take a chance on the product, you've got 6 months to see if problems arise that prevent this being a workhorse for you. You won't be sorry!

The bridge is the 'arch' you can see when you look into an atty from where the cart goes into the tube. It's made out of a metal sponge type material. This is what contacts the cart filler. The filler material keeps the bridge wet, which is basically the handle of a bucket made of mesh. The bucket surrounds the coil, which is the actual heated part of the atomizer. When you apply suction to the atty, the liquid is pulled out of the metal mesh and into contact with the coil, which then convertes the liquid to a vapor.

Check the threading on your atty and where it connects to the battery/stick. It's possible the vent holes are obstructed and/or you sucked some debris into them. Personally, I like it to have some resistance, let's you take longer draws if you want. The really light draw attys are so light it's like sucking on a straw. Too much resistance is bad though. If you can't resolve it on your end, put in a warranty request on their web site and begin a dialog to get a return authorization.

Okay - I finally did find "The Trick to the Stick"!

I tried every cart mod for 801's known to man and finally tried the Blue Foam mod. Guess what......Success!!! It actually wicks, gives plenty of vapor and if you get the right compression, won't leak. It took a few tries at the right amount of foam to use but the JS is actually working. I still don't like the 801's - even at their best - as well as the 510, but it's a mod for the 801-faithful that is worth doing. There a link to the huge thread on this in the cart mod forums labelled efinham foam or something like that.

Possibly never. Mik should comment, but he mentioned in another thread that a new model and/or update may be in the works. At least that's how I took it.

Not to sow panic and fear, and Mik can chime in to correct, but I believe his new/update comment was in reference to a lot of input from people about the Cameo - many would have rather seen an upgraded JStick.

I did not take that to mean the JStick V2 would not be available or go away anytime soon.
