Same thing happened to me with two of my attys in the stick. When they were tightly screwed, the led blinked red and no vape.
I solved this by unscrewing them just a touch, and presto! they worked normally...

Which proves that too much screwing, isn't necessarily a good thing! :D

YES !!

Undertaker! -- YOU DA' MAN!!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Damn... that was not a happy experience!!

Hey Thanks to both of you Richie & Undertaker!
(the 'just-a-touch' backing out of the atty was the trick).

but I got more to say about all this ... perhaps later!!

Right at this moment ...I got some catch-up puffing & chilling-out to do :p;)

I don't think the "juice leakage" issue had to do with it getting into the button but interfering with the contacts of the switch to the body itself.

I've never liked 'bubble' switches from past experiences as they seem to wear out way before you'd expect them to.

It's sad as the JS is a really sweet device for size and convenience.

Here's hoping they find an alternate switch.....

>

I didn't mean to imply that liquid physically leaks through the plastic body and into the switch, rather that liquid *does* find its way under the 'bubble' covering and onto the contacts. When we remove the mouthpiece to fill a cart or to drip into the atty we transfer some liquid to our fingers and then onto the bubble covering -- minute amounts, not even noticeable at times to us but there is a cumulative transfer, methinks. I also believe that the e-liquid tends to dissolve the adhesive on the back of the bubble cover and that's why it lifts up on the JS.

On occasion I have *repaired* the JS switch by peeling back the bubble cover and cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. So, e-liquid does indeed get inside there.

Fizz: Glad to hear you are back in business! Kudos to the Undertaker for his fix/tip. Now, do yourself a favor and get yourself a multimeter, Fizz. It's an imperative tool for the PV user. Answers a lot of questions before they even need be asked. =)

The Janty Stick will be re-moulded soon but we foresee no major changes. Current stick batches are stable.

I'm disappointed, Mik seemed to indicate there would be some significant changes:

Tmbrown: This thread isnt ment to discuss the new stuff - it was just to tell people about our policy. The way i see it, once a JS thread appears ( and there will be one ) - then we can discuss that one - it will be easier to keep track of all the info, ideas, inputs etc - just like we have it now with the Cameo and Baby J =D

I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.

But at any rate ~ because I had such terrific help from ya'll....

So Janty USA has been out of stock of the stick sets, batteries and other things for quite some time, and they (Jeff) won't answer emails or PMs. I am not dogging Jeff, just stating my personal situation with this. My question is, can we order from the Europe site? They have thousands of units in stock (per the website). I don't understand why they have that many and the US supplier has 0. I am not throwing stones as I do not know their business model, but NOW is the time for me to order, and the US supplier can't (won't) help me.

I am a avid 510 user, but want the superior performance of the JS. It appeals to me more than others do, but it seems that I can't have it. :(

Thanks,
NCC

I'm awaiting the arrival of my first e-cig (fingers crossed, Monday, perhaps Tuesday), it's a Blu-styled model called Volcano.

However, after reading every topic to death on dipping/dripping (it's amazing to me that this is a HOBBY for people!), I was checking out e-liquids, just now on JantyUSA. Some look delicious, however I can not exactly explain why their RY3 liquid image appears to be a popcorn bucket with Thomas the Tank Engine on it. I'm lost for reasoning, can someone explain? The other images seem to accurately depict the flavours.

In addition, can someone suggest something that would taste fairly similar to a cherry clove cigarette? Is there anyway to get that...I guess rough feeling while inhaling from something as small as Blu/Volcano? I'm really trying to quit smoking altogether and got really excited about e-cigs, but I know I am going to miss the "throat hit" (assuming I have the idea) of some of my harsher smokes. Thanks in advance! And sorry for my first post...

Why would you have a hard time seeing that e-cigs are a hobby? I don't know if you meant it like it sounded to me, but way to insult the people that are going to be answering your questions- e-cigs are a hobby to me and many others (pretty much everyone on the forum) I enjoy them. It might have been beneficial to you to do as much reading on e-cig companies as dripping and dipping- Blu is probably one of the crappiest companies in the market.

as far as the flavor picture i don't know, maybe they figured any picture is better than no picture- It is kinda one of those abstract flavors that one picture didn't particularly match. Also, there are companies that make clove flavored juice.

Oh, I by no means meant to insult, it never ceases to amaze me though how one person can come up with a unique idea, and others will modify it to suit their own needs. Sadly, the internet does a poor job of exhuming my squee of excitement.

I'm fond of people who are not willing to accept something packaged as the end-all. I'm also a linux user.

I'm not so sure about blu being crappy- I've read that others have successfully modified it to suit their dripping/dipping needs. I'm sure with some tinkering I will do the same. It certainly seemed affordable, and a quaint introductory to the "scene".

an appropriate introductary into the scene would be a dura-c starterset. a succesfull device + janty warranty for the stressless first few weeks.

i suggest dura or at least 510 ( dura compatible ) for everyone i met that thinks he should try e-cigs.

my2cents

[edit] in my opinion the "blue" hurts the market more than it does a favor. except the few people that find their way to forums and get educated about e-cigs.

the majority will just drop that in the corner and say: " yes i tried e-cigarettes, totally crap"

thanks blue for that :(

Heehee, as a child of the internet, I tend to blame consumers for giving up so early with products like these. If some knucklehead came up with an idea that seemed great but turned out to be terrible, someone else out there must have been able to make it work better. Why not Google it, and see what it tells me?

I also have an overbearing habit of looking everything up I can on a particular subject and sponging in as much information as I can get. I looooove researching things before I buy. I talk everyone of my friend's ears off in the process too. It has been a blessing though because like me, a dear friend of mine is trying to kick the habit (she's done cold-turkey to Chauntix[spelling?]), and is starting to get curious about this venue too. I just get to be the Crash Dummy :D

I read a lot of posts regaurding Smoke Everywhere, and was glad I avoided that death trap. There are apparently worse things out there.

I started off with automatic because I, too, didn't want to mess with the button. It was only a couple of weeks before I was ready to try the manual...love it! I do still use my automatic for those times that I want my hands free. As far as the blu goes, I can't say anything other than what you've said...some people have found ways to make it work successfully so, with your spirit, you'll probably do ok with it too.

Before long you'll want mods too!!! LOL. At a recent meetup of vapers, I met a lady who has several ones...they weren't as bulky as I thought they'd be, so now I'm waiting for NHaler to release his new XHaler.

Best wishes on your journey.

Man, are you putting the entire JS in your mouth? Only way I can touch the battery cover with my lips is if the cart is off and Im tail piping it.

Youre not talking about the mild corrective shock you get if you hit it too much, are you? ;)

Seriously though, if its shorting out while plugged into USB, I wouldnt plug it in anymore and send it back for replacement. Frying a USB port on a laptop or motherboard can be very expensive. You shouldnt be liable to try and correct this yourself and possibly void the warranty in the process.
