Man I'd return that to Janty so fast it'd make your head spin!!! If that JS is a shocking hazard you could die! Most people underestimate the killing power of electricity. You may have gotten a small shock this time but the next time it could be fatal. 120 volts can be lethal. Don't rely on the fact that it was only 5 volts from the USB. That USB feed is still electrically connected to a 120v source.

Don't even mess with this and for God's sake, don't even try to use it any more!
Tell Janty about it and I'll bet they'd send you a new body while you're sending it in. I've heard they're pretty good about that. It'll especially get thier attention if you're getting an electrical shock from thier product!!

Um yes it isn't good to be shocked and if a product is faulty definately return it, but you need to get your information straight DC is a little safer than AC
and the 5V isn't directly connected to the 120v its the current that kills NOT the voltage and a USB doesn't provide that much current.....

I mean I almost thought I could use my JS as a defibrillator for a second :p

I think the only questions on our minds are:

Not as cool as this shocker, but still cool....

If she likes that one, try the Vulcan Salute.

those things die faster than DX can deliver new ones.

i stopped using them after my last of 8 died. not one of them got older than a month.

ir doesn't matter in which device aou use them. i will stick with the janty batts from now on, there may be better. but for that price they are unbeaten.

do yourself a favor, stop using 10440 from DX. the bigger ones are fine from my point of view. i got the bigger DX Trust- and Ultrafires and use them without problems.

I'm at 3 months on the same 2 original batts and I pretty much vape/charge usb all the time with no usb time of 3 hours during commute.

I am on my 3rd JS (V2) though as first 2 (V1) had switch failure.

What you describe sounds like the results of over discharging.
Is it possible the usb you plug in to isn't really keeping up with your discharge rate?

Well, it finally happened! One day shy of my thirty day mark, I'm sitting at work vaping away on my JS, took my thumb off the button, and the light stayed on! Took a look at the button, and sure enough you could see where the center was still pressed in. Wiping my thumb over it a few times I got it to pop back up. I can now repeat the process over and over.

I really loved my JS and was hoping that all these other people just happened to get a bad batch or something and mine would be perfect. Oh well, I guess this really is a design flaw that wasn't properly addressed in the v2. *sigh*
