I'd rather have seen the effort (and case space) put into doing away with carts and developing some quality integrated juice delivery system.

The mp3 player is utilizing space that would be there anyways - so its not bigger or bulkier because of the mp3 player

That may be true, but my point was, since you have the empty space, I would prefer to have seen it used for other purposes - such as a juice reservoir.

Not to knock the device - I am sure a lot of people will like it - I am just saying what makes it "not for me".
What I really desire, more than anything else, is to grab it off my nightstand charger, put it (and only it) in my pocket and be set for the day. No charging and no filling until I get home that night.
This is nothing against your product, as far as I can tell nobody has yet put out somethig that can make that claim.

Please keep us updated on the mp3-free version if it is developed/released.

In other words: If we sell a 5v vaping device to my mom, she will phone me in one hour asking why its tasting burnt, and then phone me 1 hour after that asking why the atomizer is dead; all she did was hold in the button a bit too long, with not enough liquid in it. ;)

You would simply tell her to press the second button twice to dial down the voltage to 4v and top off a bit

A bit more, and then im off for dinner - ill be back later though ;)

Yes, but noone has made a functioning juice reservoir yet - ive seen some come close, but it still does not work perfectly. And its not as easy as you might think.. - so no, this is not something we are going to do just now. I mean, imagine the problems if a juice reservoir is NOT working 110% all the time. Its a can of worms - and i hope we will crack it open soon, but.. not right now ;) (and i bet this is why noone else has made it either.. - you have to remember that just because something is possible, it doesnt mean its a feasible thing to do from a business standpoint due to high cost of the system - or if it breaks down / and something like that, if not made totally perfect, will break down, often)

Is there a locking function or switch that turns the MP3's buttons off?

Yes

Oh and i forgot to mention, we MIGHT make a Cameo, that does NOT have the mp3 player in it, as a separate version. We are considering this, as we do know not everyone wants the mp3 player/ has the need for it. If we did this, the size and look would be the same as this one ( apart from the lcd display and excess of buttons )

Not a bad option.

My experiences with all-in-one devices has been dismal at best. I can't speak for everyone so. . .

If the MP3 player were modular- i.e. detachable, it may prolong and give the buyer more incentive because he/she/it may feel more confident about the final product. Plus- in the future you could release a camera, upgrade the player easier and possible add an auto-dripper or more battery storage.

A GREAT option. I have all the sound devices I need or want. If the second bat significantly increased the useful vaping time, I'm all for that. And I really like the look of the Cameo.

Gotta give Janty props for thinking outside the box(mod) on this one. Very inovative, creative and a risky step. I hope it is a great success.

Mik- Thank You for revealing the Cameo!

I love the ideas- The mp3 play is a nice touch- I myself might never use it, but it would be nice to have it there if I wanted to. Im not to hot on the 510 atty, I prefer the 801. I definitely will have to get one of these bad boys for work.

Just a thought- Do they make vaperless liquid? I think the ploom of vapor will give away the stealth idea. The ideas are awesome- I really like the fact that Janty is pushing the development of e-cigs to beyond. Here is an idea- I know this will be for a smaller group of buyers- but integrate a e-cig to the iPhone- maybe for emergency charging or maybe have Janty application that can analyze vaping habit, maybe be able to adjust voltage from the iPhone- that would be awesome

When can I get one!

Keep working on the twinbox! thats the one im really waiting on!~!

Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to swapping out pieces. My atomizer for my Dura-C is fried (I think, it just makes a very quiet hissing noise. Tried dripping but I can't even see the atomizer heating up or any vapor coming off of it).

I'm trying to figure out if there's any other atomizers I can use since JantyUSA is out of stock. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Here are a few thoughts:

The MP3 frill has virtually no appeal to many (like me) in contrast to the vastly more important and driving reasons I want a PV in the first place. --

As others have mentioned, superior function, durability, simplicity/user-friendliness, reliability etc. will override the purchasing choice for a considerable chunk of the customer market. - Some will find these frills attractive of course, but I would predict you'll succeed in only effecting an unnecessary and narrower delineation of anticipated market-slice.

There's ample historical evidence, from the standpoint of product commercialization, that the "combination-devices" or "multi-function" products.... although perceived as sexy from a designer's-eye standpoint... quite often fall flat or miss their mark. For example, the combination TV-VCR, the Multifunction-Printer/fax/copier, the combo Rifle-Shotgun (by Savage & others), the Ford Ranchero or Chevy El Camino, etc. etc. (you get the idea).

Now that's NOT to say there wouldn't be a market by any means. It's just that more-often-than-not many such 'combination' products, by virtue of the necessity of engineering economics and other inescapable compromises.... wind up being necessarily inferior in the expression of each of their component-functions.

Take the example of the idea of a combined Car+Truck like the El Camino or Ranchero as mentioned; I owned one before, and like most everyone else I knew... we found it's actual utility & capacity very weak in either (both) of it's functions. - In addition, like the TV-VCR combo or the MFC... quite often the malfunction of just one of the component-elements can render the other functional elements useless as well. -- [**Be especially sure to have your engineers carefully segregate these aspects so as to avoid jeopardizing the ability to continue using the PV despite the potential malfunction of the MP3 electronics etc.]

But that's just my two-cents worth.

Just as an aside... I've got 2 of the 510 kits (4 e-cigs) from cignot on their way, and I'm hoping I'll see them arrive today. The 510's are intended primarily for introducing Vaping to friends and family members. I rather anticipate having to order more before the end of the week.

BUT what I'm really excited about are the 2 JANTY-Stick kits on their way as well. I'm hoping they'll get here tomorrow!!:p
Those are ALL MINE!!

cheers,
fisch;)
