I put a ready-made SS Clapton in mine which had either a 3.5 or 4.0mm interior diameter. Don't have the exact ohms (somewhere in the 0.2-0.3+ range)/wire thickness info (it's either 26/32 or 24/32 AWG), as I'm at work right now. BTW, I am using one upper wire hole on one side of the deck and the lower wire hole on the other side of the deck, so my coil is basically centered on the posts.

Sounds as if you have it set up well, try wicking it as shown here by dshuld and as suggested by others making sure no cotton or rayon covers the air flow under the coil and you should be good to Rock n Roll when you get home. If that doesn't solve your leaking issue then I'd suspect some kind of defect.

See if you can't upload a pic or 2;)

I did a quick and dirty 24ga kanthal wrap last night @ .7ohms and the flavor and vapor were nice. Tonight, I made a 26ga kanthal/36 ga nichrome 80 fused clapton @ .58 ohms and it has definitely "awakened". Still kinda waiting for the cotton to break in, but it's looking good so far!!!

I get an insanely flavorful vape out of my Merlin with a 26ga .8 sitting on my ePm. It's a real nice match for most of my pipes. No leaking and a ton of flavor.

Ha, mine was stuck so bad that my MF ceramic tweezers didn't work. I had to freeze it.

I use a pair of needle nose pliers in the opposing holes for stuff like that. Had that happen on my KF 5 as well that's still not working right. No sense breaking the ceramic tip.

That's the one. I have to stay away from that site though, it gets may wallet in trouble.

And if you go with an 18500 the Sanyo UR18500FK 1700 is a good battery and lasts me the day. He has some real sweet stuff on his site right now.

I recently picked this one up. PM me if you want some more links on pipes.

That one is gorgeous. You may have sparked a side of this I haven't dove into yet for me haha. Gonna have to look around there and see what I can find.

I didn't think of that. Good idea. I didn't use the tip of my tweezers, I used the other end that I call a bottle opener like this one but it kept slipping off....

We all do, and "most" of us know how to go about getting issues fixed the correct way.

So did i, i contacted AugVape immediately i noticed the issue...

Well a simple polite post here that you need some assistance dealing with an issue with the Merlin probably would have been a great start. Since you seemingly don't even have a clue who Roxynoodle is her name is on the bottom of the Merlin. While she is not a paid employee of Augvape she is a rather key element of the support side. Again a simple polite question could have easily led you to this path.

Says AugVape on the box. Gives their website. Silly me for following the obvious chain of support. Im a maverick like that.

OMG, Smoking gun, really??

Just WOW... Seems I got the SAME smoking gun nearly a year ago on something entirely different. OHHH, wait, If I dig back through my FT tickets I have a few of these "smoking guns"

How could this be? I'd never have even considered they might just send out a canned cut & paste response. I'm sooo let down by FT CSR

UPtAR4u.jpg
Show me where i said it only applied to me or only to the Merlin....i put in the ticket and was told that they wanted a video of the defect, this came from AugVape. Each supplier has their own warranty requirements obviously. Clearly that is AugVapes. I can read english, FastTech never question that it is a defect, they repeat that AugVape wants proof, how can that not be more clear after several times pointing this out. Im prety sure by now FastTech themselves wouldn't even bother asking for proof because theyve already had many returned due to previous defects like the bad base.

More to the point youre continually attacking me and others for having the gall to return something thats defective, yet you apparently have a few of these yourself, hypocracy much? pot calling kettle much? i guess its hard to troll ones self? But feel free to attack others....

Youre nothing but a bitter troll who probably gets all their kicks from trying to (unsuccessfully) bully people in forums. Im sorry to deny you your superiority fix once again.

And just a tip off, because with trolls like you, the penny never drops, so ill spell it out for you... im sure AugVape is going to be very happy with the trolls here spending 7 pages trolling myself and others with issues, you cant even see how youve taken an issue which could have ended with me posting "i have along 510 pin, it doesnt fit my mods and returning it", and a polite response of "Sorry to hear that" and it being done, and turned into 7 pages of bad looking troll post press for AugVape...let me know when they send you a thank you card. You trolls probably cost them more than the AUD$64 they owe me in refunds (AUD$43 for the tank (things arent cheap to buy in Australia) and AUD$23 to return post it (and things arent cheap to return post either))

btw Still no word from AugVape, well i hope they learn a lesson from this at least. Maybe you trolls will too.
