That's enough of the bickering and name calling. Any more reports because some of you just can't post according to the rules and the thread gets closed.

As a reminder, this is an open forum. People can post their opinions whether they're positive or negative. Just because someone has a negative opinion of a product does not make them a troll. The responses HAVE been trollish.

So for those of you that prefer the TL;DR version.....

Well, well, well... That little effin' O-ring under the top cap has gone missing, despite the care that I took while cleaning the tank, hence my complete juice dump. As quite a few seemed to have had the same problem, I'm wondering if that ring was missing from the factory in the first place. Thankfully, there is an included spare, but I just might need to source a replacement or ten to keep on hand for next time since there is only the one spare. :-x

Rewicked the Merlin with rayon and didn't thin the tails at all. I suspect the original wick may have been fine, once I put the O-ring in place, but I had the deck open & figured I'd rather be safe then sorry and threw another wick in there. I gotta say it looks nice on my Evic VTC Mini (now, I need to troll sales for a black one or two!) and I don't hate NT's Passion Cake any more. :w00t:

Mine was there when it went into its bath and never reappeared. Even with a fine mesh strainer lol. Mine still pops out sometimes but the juice holds it to the top luckily when it does.

I thought it was there, too, but now I wonder if I just assumed it was there. If it was, that little bugger made one Hell of a masterful escape!

One side note that I forgot to mention above is that my JFC seems a little too loose for my liking. It doesn't spin freely, but it seems like it would be really easy for it to move inside my pocket or purse. I can see that I will become obsessed with checking it all the time (my Bachelor Nano's JFC has just the right resistance to stay where I set it), so black glass on a black Merlin will be a no-go for me. :(

Kind of how I felt too lol. Had a wtf moment for sure when mine disappeared during cleaning.

I've already retrieved that ring from the sink once, and had it roll across the kitchen counter twice. It needs a tiny safety lanyard to keep it associated with the tank. That or some superglue in the groove it's supposed to fit in.

Just ordered:)

Only $2.35 for 50. And $3.00 for shipping. Still worth $5 to stop worrying about losing it.
That's where I buy mine and I have a pretty good selection but still like that 8 x 1, I have none (except the ones in the little bag)

Glad you found your issue and resolved it easily..assuming the o-ring was the culprit of your tank dump. I like the aesthetic of the black but in practical terms, I'm having a devil of a time seeing jfc, if o-ring is still in place on top and even my juice looks black and I didn't even use the tinted glass as I have a spare clear one from the SS version. Think I'll only be using it during daylight hours.

Happy Vaping!

Yep, me too. In the sink after cleaning.
