so your airflow ring is good? sure hope mine isn't loose like others are reporting!.Just built my SS. 1st attempt at wicking gave me a 1 way ticket to flood city. Did some minor adjusting and wow. I'm super impressed. Its a beautiful tank. Threads are buttery smooth. Afc and Jfc have just the right tolerance. I have nothing negative to say about the Merlin. I have 2 and I can guarantee 4 more will be gracing my vape stand.

Mine was loose out of the box.If your air flow ring is too loose, maybe it's wet from cleaning it? Try letting it dry overnight or blow the water out with compressed air??? I had mine sit in alcohol for a while and used my compressor and blew it out. Mine is not tight but it's not too loose either.
I hate the stock tip too... I'm using different ones until I find the ones that I like.I guess I'm one of the few that prefers a different drip tip.

I'll let you know in a week...Thanks @TrollDragon! Sorry it was so long. Hope it helps.
Fantastic information.Here's how I wick.
3mmID 26g ss316l, 9/8wrap.

Cut cotton a little wider than the base.

Fluff the cotton so it's nice and airy.

Then fold(don't pack) the bottom 1/4 into the cup.

While remaining fluffed, cover the rest of the top of the cup and a little on the deck.

I have found that not much below the juice holes works the best. Cover the top and jeep it fluffy. I use anywhere from 50/50-30pg/70vg.
I usually go from 25w-40w, which is how I like to vape. Not high power or low power. The flavor on this tank is great and the above wicking keeps up with no issues.
Sorry for the long post folks.
