There's been talk that some are so loose that when you set it down or pick it up that it opens and closes on its own. I had one that wouldn't move but i took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together and it worked. There's some out there that may be defective, if you contact the seller they are swapping them out.
You took the air ring off? If so please let me know how. I would rather fix it myself.

Have you tried this? Did you put the band above the AFC or right over the closed air holes?
The air comes in from the 2 holes, the top of the ring and the bottom. You have to seal all those places to get it air tight. To make it 99% sealed I put the band on the bottom of the tank making sure the band is against the top of my mod. See Pic

Thank you and for the pic. I'll try that next time I have to change coils. :)

Is the screw on the bottom of the base adjustable. I thought it was but mine is as tight as it will go and sticks out quite a ways so my tanks don't sit flush on my mods.
You can try to grind or sand it down a bit. BUT!!! be very careful doing it. You don't want to do it while it's on the tank. It might get too hot and melt the insulator. Sanding it will create less heat. You also don't want to take too much off because you might lose the slot where the screw driver needs to turn the screw. Maybe try another screw from another tank and see if it works better???

Thanks again. So the screw is adjustable in case I need it longer on other mods? Nothing will fall apart? :w00t:

There is supposed to be an o-ring in the top piece that you take off when refilling the tank. This creates a seal that might be effecting the bottom also? I don't know but that may help
