Got 2 Merlin's 2 days ago from eciggity...one stainless and one black ....loving the tanks but my black one has a really loose juice flow control ...turns with little to no effort...the stainless one is perfect ....contacted eciggity and this what they told me


"Weare going to contact the manufacture if they can send us replacements for the loose AFC rings.It seems that this is a common issue for the Black Merlin. We will let you know once we are contacted back.

Did you mean juice flow control or air flow control? I haven't heard of any problems with the juice flow control unless I just missed it.

I see and hear it's on both.

Neither for me. I thought some folks who got black had the issue.

That's what the comment above seems to suggest. I'm guessing there was a minor difference in the blueprints between colours.

I have both without issues. The 2 ss ones are from the first round from Subtanksupply, and the black I have is from eciggity. The afc on my black has less resistance when turning but that doesn't have any impact for me.

Does sound like the o-ring or tolerances on the black one is "different". I have the SS one on the way (three days to get from Kentucky to Chicago? What gives, USPS??), so hopefully I'll be ok.

The air comes in from the 2 holes, the top of the ring and the bottom. You have to seal all those places to get it air tight. To make it 99% sealed I put the band on the bottom of the tank making sure the band is against the top of my mod. See Pic

You should still call to get a new base. If I close my airflow, I can't draw on it.

Thanks, I did contact the vendor and I hope to get the bases that work correctly. I don't like using the band on such a pretty tank...

Just got my black one in today from subtank supply. No issues whatsoever. Beautiful tank. Not sure how I feel about the tinted glass though. It's a first for me. I guess I'll get used to it or Ivan replace it with the clear spare from my SS one

Is everyone able to adjust the AFC and JF with the atty is attached to the mod? When I tighten mine down I can't turn either. Have to open JF and AF before attaching to the mod.
