Are you using tanks I see this a lot with tanks that's why I started using drip tips make sure you put a couple of drops of liquid on your atomizer 1st and try to repeatedly do that as your flavor goes away and if you have too many issues switch and use a standard 2 piece ecig I get mine at WWW.tececigs.com Jon2011 will give you 5% off and free shipping don't give up you can do it just have to find what works for you

As stated above it sounds as if you are burning your juice but I believe that a KGO is just Riva's version of the EGO, so the ability to scorch your liquid at 3.7 volts even with an LR carto is slim. But I will almost bet that you are not filling them to their maximum capacity. I did this with my first 5 carto's and ended up throwing them away because that's all i could taste after they scorched the first time. My best advice is to flood the carto the first time, util juice drips out the connection has worked every time for me since. Good luck.

Are you first filling properly because if they aren't completely saturated the filler burns and the taste is horrible. Here's vid on how to first fill

or you could avoid the hassle of cartos and get some clearomizers.

I now use clearomizers but when using cartomizers found the best were the Smok Tech 1.7 single coil but the Boge are a quality product and should work.

Boge 510, 2.0 ohms

Thanks for your reply. I gave up and bought a carton of cigs. I'm ready to just toss everything in the trash.

Noooooooo!! Don't do that plz...there is a learning curve, but it's so worth it.

Maybe this might help on how to use your new PV?
Beginner Tutorial - 2

Before I got anything, I read A LOT and watched a bunch of vids, so I was fairly well prepared. Unfortunately, the instructions in most kits are junk.

That first filling of a carto is crucial...get it really full. Then, you just keep it topped off with a few drops of liquid as needed to keep the filler moist.

Stick with it, and we'll help all we can eh? :)

Please stop hawking this tremendously overpriced kit - it does no one any favors...

Not using tanks, no. Just the KGO with the Boge carto's. I filled them correctly, the battery is fine. I've filled several different ones, from several different packages. I can't buy more, I've spent all my extra cash on this setup I just got. I'm really, really frustrated.

I thought, if you use cartomizers, you don't have to keep dripping the juice on the tip? That is the point of carto's isn't it?

I hear ya, I'm on a fixed inome and have to 'make things work' too.

The cartos get filled, but as you vape, it depletes them. So, you just top it off a bit. Depending on how much you vape and how large the cartos are, that could be a long time between topping off. You just can't let them get dry or you'll "burn" them. I think of it like a Zippo...same kind of concept. :)

I don't understand what you mean with "metal aftertaste"? Are you sure that what you are tasting is not actually the metal drip tip you may be using? I've had that problem before with metal drip tips, I won't use them anymore, I found that I like acrylic drip tips much better....... How much juice are you adding to your cartos at first fill? If you are adding less than maybe 15-20 drops, you are underfilling them and may get a burned taste. Or you may just be tasting the primer fluid that is in new cartos.. If it's that, it will go away quickly.

Please don't just toss it and go back to analogs, give yourself some time and allow for a learning curve with newbies. I was frustrated a bit at first (started with a crappy Greensmoke!) but I read, learned, moved on. KGO is a pretty good device so I'm just trying to figure out exactly what your issues with it are. Can you clarify more?

I've watched that vid and many many others...I've spent over a month reading and researching so I was "prepared" and all that. I did fill the carto's until they're dripping, even left them sit for a day, putting in more a few times since they're new. But of course, I could be wrong. I'll try filling up another.

You might be a good candidate for a stardust/vision type clearomizer. These look good on the kgo. It will hold more than a standart carto (1.6ml to 2ml). There is no filler, as it is a clear tank. This is the simplest to fill and you can easily see how much liquid is in it. Many vendors sell them. Here is one Vision Clearomizers

The visions are easy to rinse them out clean and reuse several times depending on how aggressive your liquid is.

Some people just don't like cartomizers and having to spend alot of time filling them.

Not hawking anything I believe in this one just as you do what you use I'm just trying to help someone out that may need an easier to use ecig sorry I like something with a lifetime warranty that may cost a bit more but have a wonderful day

Steering someone to a kit that costs 3 times as much as it should is not offering any help IMHO. I went to their site and looked at the prices and I almost feinted.

Perhaps you can post your own introduction where members can greet you and continue this side discussion?

No nearby B&M unfortunately, not in the LA area.

I do use an acrylic drip tip...not metal. It took all evening and all night to get rid of the lingering metallic taste so I'm not too keen to even try using one again till I get it right or figure out wth is wrong. I don't know how to more clarify it than after exhaling, there's a really nasty metal taste in my mouth. Yuck.

I filled 5 different carto's, used a 10ml bottle of juice and a few more ml from another filling them. At this rate, I'll run out of juice trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
