So carding probably didn't work well (they had vending machines back then, I assume. ;) ) but it still doesn't work 100%.
I don’t remember them carding in the 70’s. Yes, there were vending machines...but it was just as easy to go to the corner store and say your parent sent you to get a pack of x brand. No questions. And they were pocket change. I don’t recall how much they were before college, but in Ky in 1981, they were.50 a pack, $4.50.

Vending machines were everywhere. Cigarettes were a Quarter a pack back then. Later, the price was raised to 35 cents. B y the time I started vaping smokes had succumbed to inflation and I was paying about $36 a carton. I needed to quit smoking and vaping was also a cheaper alternative with an obvious safety factor over burning tobacco.

It's too bad that smoking teens are ruining the reputation of vaping by adding illegal substances. The history of experimentation by teens continues.
Your memory is better than mine!

One of my favorite vendors is in Michigan, Ahlusion. I have been buying from them for years now. Will Michigan vendors be allowed to ship out of state? Time to stock up on my favorite flavors!

I Don't see how this would effect a Michigan Company/Retailer from selling to an Out-of-State individual.

That is, if the Michigan Company/Retailer can survive the Sales Hit they take from Not being sell in they're own State.

But I would Contact Ahlusion and see what they have to say.

$1.00 per carton on post in the late 60's.

We had smoking areas at school.

I'm so sad about this! I'll be stocking up on Ahlusion for sure! I've checked their web site a few times today to see if they'll post anything about the new law, but there's been nothing so far.

Expensive! We had a smoking area for the high school, but it wasn’t particularly monitored. I can remember my 6th grade history teacher smoking in class! It was a special assignment to get to take her ashtray during class to the teachers lounge to empty it.

I would get an order in NOW or earlier. I am sure Mister E will be addressing this, watching their FB page to see what their response is. I can't even articulate my feelings at this point, the gall of that woman, gah! Her voicemail box is full so I was saved from ranting to a machine.

    [rant]

    I'm exhausted.

At 63 years, I just don't understand what the hell is happening any more. Mass shooting?...ban guns for all law-abiding citizens. Vaping related (?) illness in 200 teens?...ban vaping products for all adult citizens. Can't afford all your shiny stuff?...let's reward you with a $15 minimum wage that you did nothing to really earn, or better yet, let's just institute socialism.

There is no longer any sense of personal responsibility and knee-jerk reaction is the order of the day.

It's tiresome, and though at my age I probably don't have much longer to deal with the insanity, I fear for the future. Thank god I don't have kids, though if I did they would be part of the resistance.

    [/rant]
So Corp. Welfare is ok? Just asking as it's not for all the poor working class that has not seen wage increases while the higher ups have had constant increases? Lol

Anyway I'm in Michigan and I spit my coffee out when I seen the news today. Pure trash ban on flavoring ridiculous .

    Somewhere out there
I just placed an order with Ahlusion, trying to show my support. It wasn't a real big order. I will do that later this month...if they are still in business...sob...
Poor Ahlusion! Looks like this just put them out of business. They could just sell flavor shots and no ejuice.

Anyone have the actual wording. Couldn't find it on her webpage with executive orders. 2019-18 was the newest listed.
She's given HHS a directive. IDK if there's any language yet. I'm still looking, but here's a snippet from an article:
Michigan is the first state in the nation to ban flavored nicotine vaping products, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced Wednesday after directing the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to issue emergency rules doing just that.

The irony here of course being that if allowed, Whitmer would be turning a blind eye towards a Michigan company exposing potential out of state teen customers to the dangers of vaping as long as the company contributed to the economy and paid their Michigan state taxes.

    Which means it's probably OK.

The reason I ask is that at least 1 media report said that it wouldn't affect businesses that had adult only areas or the whole store was age limited access.
I hope you're right. Fingers crossed.

Ahlusion and Mr E-liquid are two great companies here. Killing off their retail outlets without warning, with leases and employees, is real damage that could affect their ability to continue.

Just an example to make a point. Replace it with "give every American citizen $1000 per month (Andrew Yang) for sitting home and doing nothing" if you prefer.
