I’m not sure that Moore is more biased than most people who are hard to one side or another of the fence.

I don't care about his politics dude. But, anyone who would go after the guy who laid of his dad is just a giant DOUCHE, let alone making it into a MOVIE.

Clint Eastwood, never have I seen a more tasteless, horrible piece of "journalism" in my life.

Don't take advantage of the elderly, polite, but confused.

The final rules are not released. Apparently that will take a few weeks. We are told it will be 30 days after that before the rules take effect. Likely lawsuits will be filed after the actual rules are released. Part of the lawsuit will be a request for an injunction to delay enforcement, which a judge will decide.

If the rules turn out as the governor describes it will be legal to sell hardware and unflavored nicotine. I've been mixing and rebuilding for 5 years and most everything I buy is online so I'm not seeing how this would change my access to products.

I think they are referring to all the craziness in general including the FDA stuff. If folks are going to stock up on liquid as opposed to DIY, I guess it is best to do it earlier rather than at the last minute.

She says she wants to stop online sales too. That will be a huge question. How and whether it will be enforced.
May be the governor blundered by announcing her intentions without being ready with her final rules. One of the frustrating things for me, vaping for the past 5 years, has been the apathy of my vaping friends to the possibility of government interference. Now a governor in one State has done something may be no other political leader anywhere has ever done about vaping, best described as heavy handed, dictatorial, what might be expected from the Chinese Communist Party. I'm noticing this is getting national attention and will probably be noticed internationally because nobody has considered that may be vaping will be banned by edict rather than any legislative or even regulatory process. May be the Michigan governor has done us a favor by energizing stake holders everywhere.

Someone remind me, is it just flavored e liquid banned by online sales, or all vape gear?
We don't know because the final rules have not been released, probably not yet written. In the mean time vapers everywhere have to ask, could my governor or national leader do the same? I bet most vapers in the US don't know what's supposed to happen next May. If they pay attention to the Michigan situation they should learn about the FDA's plans. It hasn't been written yet, but I think it's "just" the evil-flavored liquid (you know anything other than tobacco), not the good tobacco-flavors , but also not menthol.

If it becomes all vape gear, Imma going to have to find a way to go back to modding, and I'm going to be .......

    Somewhere out there
Be prepared so no matter what happens you are all set anyway. After I stocked up in 2016 the only thing I needed was flavors, now I have picked up a few more things before the hammer drops in May, even more flavors. The way things are going now, every state could start doing stupid stuff, so be ready!

If the pdf that was posted earlier in this thread is what the Actual Executive Action will be, then it appears to just include Flavored "Vapor" Products.

I'm sure this would Include a "Kit" of Hardware and a Flavored e-Liquid. But does Anyone really sell Kits like this much anymore?

    doubtful. He’s all about politics
But, anyone who would go after the guy who laid of his dad is just a giant DOUCHE, let alone making it into a MOVIE.
that’s rather highly specific. I’m not defending Michael Moore. I just think the kind of thing he does isn’t that unusual these days
Clint Eastwood, never have I seen a more tasteless, horrible piece of "journalism" in my life.
I have. Lots of it. Many of them are radio shows, though the performers would no doubt prefer to be making movies. Extremism is the new commonality. Moore isn’t even at the really far end of the left. It’s one of the reasons he got away with making a film and getting it distributed. There are people more left than he is.

Ah. There it is. He took advantage of an old person. The way the NRA did with Charlton Heston? Are there acceptable and unacceptable victims then?

Every prefilled cigalike would be affected including Juul pods with flavor that are already sold online by them. But will every online vendor be able to figure that out? If you're an online vendor, how do you keep track of what you can sell where, and which of your products are and are not subject to some state or even local/city limitation?

I didn't specifically mention Cig-a-Like and Pod Systems. Because I assumed that it was understood that they would be Included.

As to what Online Retailers can and Can Not sell. It's the Online Retailers responsibility to know what the Current Regs are for Any State they want to sell to.

Oh I am quite sure horrible people exist everywhere, doing horrible things. I am quite sure much of it is fueled by politics. Michael Moore just happens to be a favorite of mine because he is so hateful. I am sure there are plenty of right handed folks doing the same.

I felt that the Obama movie was sort of equally.... IDK slanted. Only that guy got locked up for doing that, which kind of annoys me. If you are going to lock up THAT documentarian, well, cast Mr. Moore into the gates of... wherever, and he can lose a little weight on jail food.

I'm not really that into those movies, although I will say the 9-11 one, that movie was the FIRST time I saw that footage (I mean I heard about W with the kids, endlessly) and I watched it WITH the commentary FIRST, and I was like "Our president is a giant loser."

I watched it WITHOUT said footage a few years later during our annual "let's feel horribly sorry for ourselves for our terrorist attack (which frankly I could do without, but I'm a bit more pragmatic, the US does NOT hold the world record for "terrorism" by ANY stretch of the imagination and now it's getting a bit tedious. Not to offend anyone.) However, I watched it sans commentary, and had an ENTIRELY different reaction. I was like, "What MM you want him to jump up, scare a bunch of kids, and flee the scene. There was a brief discussion, a final, faster read and I found it ENTIERLY appropriate.

I guess that's where I get frustrated. There is so much opinion and so little just: "here is what happened we will show you and then SHUT UP," that I find it all very annoying.

I do not think taking advantage of the elderly is the way to go ever, no. I am aware it happens.

IDK no dog in THIS fight. I am an independent and that means I have MORE to read actually.

A couple years ago Pima county voted NON lawyers could be judges. I was not able to vote in that one. It passed. You should see the lawyers trying like, tiptoeing around to educate the "judges" on the law. It's pretty tragic I have to say.

I don’t think he’s been able to do one in some years so I doubt there is much to worry about any more. Movie making is something that takes large amounts of money and people, and the impression I get is he has little access to either as a result of his films not making money.

Why did he even come up btw? Because he did a few in Michigan?

Yup. My impression of Michigan is entirely colored by my hatred of (and former admiration but I was young and foolish) of MM.

Sorry Michigan. I am QUITE sure most of Michigan is GRRRRReat! Although your governor appears to be a giant turd so there is that. (Please do not miss my Southpark reference it would make me so sad.)

Listen to the governor's comments about her actions. She is shallow on this topic. Her talking points were fed to her by people who know little more than she does. If the coaching came from her health department they have no one with a sophisticated understanding of the issues or that person was not given a say. When asked about adults who rely on ecigs she is naively dismissive. I still say this is a political stunt, not sincere governing.

It might be worth an FOI request for documents from Michigan government departments both for and against this action. Were negative consequences weighed in the decision? If not perhaps there can be an injunction delaying the ban until they have been considered.

She looks giddy from all the attention. Her eyes are glazed with excitement.

"Last night we celebrated the release of “The Gov” at Lansing Brewing Company. Thank you to everyone who came out for the festivities and to LBC for the new brew!" -- Governor Gretchen Whitmer

The new brew is an orange and tangerine flavored beer named The Gov.
Bans vaping flavors - releases orange and tangerine flavored beer. What am I missing here?

I predict a sharp rise in domestic violence & teen violence in Michigan- just saying...

Vaping with nicotine & flavors has a calming effect
Nicotine is a major anti-anxiety drug. Even people who didn’t have anxiety problems before will have them if they suddenly stop taking it.
