Well the ummm erect twig and berries coil that was tried the first time didn't work well. It did for me at first but it got all gunked up and nasty after about 12 hours. (No puns intended with that last statement although there are plenty to be found). So I guess now I am going to have to try this. Although I don't have any 26 with me so I'll have to try it with 28ga and will be shooting a little higher right around 1ohm for mine.

Question: I got my micro coil wrapped and wicked, now is the coil supposed to heat up red when the wick is in? I pre-burned the coil to test the extent of the burning and it glows red all the way across. This is what my set up is:
30ga Kanthal A1 wrapped around 16 ga needle pushing 1.5ohm at about 8/9 wraps. it's hitting good just wanna make sure everything is good before I continue to vape of this thing.

You are good to go. If the coil is juiced up the coils won't burn red but the vapor is there. Only when the coil is dry will it burn red. Is this what you are asking?
Yep that is exactly it. Thanks for the quick answer. I'm getting really good vapor production from Boba's Bounty, and I'm gonna mess around some more tonight with the coils. Just trying to find the best placement of the coil in the RBA. I think that's the hardest part.
I'm not picky about my vape or coils. If its producing vapor and the heat is oK then I'm OK. I vape unflavored all day. I like about 1- 1.5 ohm. Happy vaping. Glad its working for you. Don't over think it, enjoy it. It s all good and sure beats the cigs.
yeah the 1.5ohm is pretty good. I use 1.5-1.7ohm in all my carts, atty's, and stuff and the 1.5 out of the RM2 is pretty nice. Could be a little hotter but I'm going to try to wrap a 1.3 next and see how that rocks. I got another RM2 for my new grand and I might try sub ohm when I get the right batteries for it.
I did the same with my carts, the old ressurectors 1.7 LR cartos. Since using the RBA I use 30g x7wraps on 1/16" drill bit comes out to 1.37ohms. perfect spot for me as you can feel the warmer vape than 1.5/1.7 range. You should try your same setup only with 1 less wrap.
