Don't believe me then take a ride on the beemer sometime. :rickroll:

Beemer! I'm in! Didn't even notice the cylinder on your avatar bike till you said that. Smoothest bike out there I have ever ridden. 900?

26n just doesn't cut the banana for me anymore...

Xobedriver w/mundy's wire always makes me giggle like a little kid.

Looks like an evil torture device... But the high TH + superbly balanced flavor just can't be matched.

The meat grinder in that picture comes in around 0.4 ohms (0.8 ohms per coil).

If you are cloud chasing there are setups with conventional wire that will out cloud twisted magic.
I am not a cloud chaser so someone else will need to point you in that direction, but I would say most if not all are sub ohm.
Cloud machines have a reputation for low taste as I understand it.
The vapor from magic seems to be less dense than from comparable conventional coils.
I think it might produce smaller vapor droplets which would explain both the "whispier" vapor and enhanced taste.
If you are looking for taste, that is where magic shines.
I normally vape a single micro coil of magic in the 0.8 to 0.9 ohm range with 6 wraps.
The bee and monkey like it lower in resistance with less wraps.
Others have reported a higher resistance coil with a VV set to higher voltage works well.
At least 1 thought it had too much taste but reducing the voltage was where it shined.
To each his own as the old saying goes.

So my sub ohm experience to date has gone no lower than a .43. I wouldn't say I'm cloud chasing... at least not in the traditional sense. What I am trying to figure out is how to produce the densest, best tasting mass of vapor without having to take a crazy hard, long, lung hit. In other words - I want a partial cloud, but I don't want to suck on it that hard to get it. (No jokes please.)

As far as flavor loss, I have not experienced that. My sub ohming trials have produced stronger flavor and stronger nicotine delivery. Too much of both actually, for my tastes. But I know if I keep trying new things, I will eventually hit on the perfect build - one that chucks the vapor without having to inhale too hard, and delivers great flavor.

One question though. When on power, when the coils heat up, the draw tightens considerably, then opens up again off power. Any guesses about why?

Dunno, really. I mean, whenever I do a dual in the RM2, the draw is definitely muffled quite a bit. But I hadn't noticed it in relation to firing. Although, basically, you are creating alot of heat and steam in that small chamber; maybe that's how your senses read what mine do as heat and wetness.

This was my go-to build before Mundy's Magic. You should try it Vwls.

.5Ω, 26g Nichrome, cotton. 8 wraps. (but not with the mini ;))

Wicking, exagerated a bit here ↓ . . . . but I did like a bit pulled out in the middle.

The blue is just the juice (Mister-E-Liquid: BlueVoodoo . . .. bit sweet for my taste, but good). Nichrome is the proverbial ayss kicker. It brings more punch to the game, being of lower resistance per gauge. 26gN=25gKanthal. It puts a little more bite, tang into your vape & kicks faster. (IMHO) Some people get a sore throat from it, so don't buy 100' just to try it.

KK - can you send me a foot of it? I want to play :)

If I hate it or it makes me pucker, no big loss.

Tell me what kind of juice you prefer, and I'll send you something as well.

Hi, Vwis

apparently no one has yet bothered to warn you about feeding me straight lines...

:)

You may be on to something. I tried it again and paid close attention to the draw. It really doesn't tighten. But the sound changes dramatically from a high pitched hiss to deeper sound, almost with a thump when the coils start producing. That's gotta be what I thought was the draw tightening.

This build will stick for a little while, but I'll move on to something else soon. I'm vaping vcv's monkey business. All I'm getting with this build is the chocolate. The banana is very faint and mainly arrives in aftertaste. Since I'm still drill-less, Mundy's is out for now. Xobe, if you're not on the honeymoon yet, what's your namesake coils virtue? Dib, I tried the split coil before on 28N and the central coil was collapsing on me. Now that I've got the dz jig, maybe I'll try it with the 27k I've got.

My coil has a well rounded flavor with TH that will kick you in the nads like an angry mule.

As far as duals go, I did a build back when where it was a 17ga id driver coil on the bottom, then a 16ga standard crossing above it. Air hole right at the base of the bottom, while the air swept up the top of that coil, it went under the standard coil. It was actually a rather nice setup for duals in the RM2.

Don't have time to look it up now, but if you search the photos, i'm sure a few of this build will show up.

And i'm out!

Will be lurking the next few days, then gone til the 18ish.
