Yea I'm with you. I think vettel would have took it anyway but it sure woulda been a bit closer.. Wish Kimi would of had a better qualy run his times were faster then Alonso and closer to vettel. I am getting kinda of bored of seeing the same guy on the top step but with neweys car he's unbeatable it seems.. 4 in a row for a 26 yo love him or hate him he must have some skills.

Finally saw the race last night. Yep, leaving ALO out for those few extra laps seemed brilliant at the time but it cost dearly.

As far as possible problems with the RB's near the end of every race lately...
I'm beginning to think that they just throw that stuff out there to give the rest of us some hope. Any time they have really had an issue (last season alternator) they didnt broadcast it.

I still can't understand how a relatively new team, albeit one with boatloads of cash, can build such a damn good car. Beating the piss out Ferrari week after week. Damn. That hurts. Perhaps they should build road going super cars for public consumption?

I reckon they just say they are having problems, so the other teams think Jeez, imagine how much further in front they'd be without any issues

Also, all the KERS problems they had initially. Something like 50% of the time running without a working system.

Their performance has got to be down to their blown floor, they don't really have a massive top speed, but boy can they corner. If you look at Vettel's driving style, it's like a Sunday morning cruise compared to the sawing away at the wheel that other drivers have to do.

Somebody needs to kidnap Newey for a season or two, to level things out

What an evil, evil team! Lol.

It's all Adrian Newey isn't it? I wasn't watching F1 back then but didn't Senna move to Williams because he couldn't beat the Newey designed cars?

In not sure. Where was he before RBR? When I was tuned in in the early 2000's, I had not heard of him. Has he been around F1 for a while eh?

I think that if they would of pitted him sooner then Vettel would of just turned it up more at the end and he still would of walked away with it, Alonso was only catching up bc Vettel had pretty much went into cruise mode.

And they do make super cars, Infiniti something or another, Vettel helped design it, wait you said super car not super slow, lol. It would be hard for them to make a road car unless it was a Renault and Infiniti collaboration, I am pretty excited about who is taking Webber's spot, should be pretty interesting. I will probably watching Webber more next year as well

AFter two days of staying away form every F1 thread, auto blog and sports websites I usually check, I finally watched the race. Kimi is just on a downward trend and I hope he can turn it around. As much as I want him to stay with Lotus Renault, He needs a better car. Dont get me wrong though, Lotus is a stunning team with its financial problems, but if the iceman wants another championship, its in his favor to jump ship back to rrari. Both Kimi & Hamilton had great races with the situation they were in

As for RBR, a 'boatload of cash' does WONDERS! Let alone (arguably) the best areo-engineers in F1. They just have everything falling into place. Even with shoddy transmissions and KERS problems, they can still get their man on the podium. They didnt really "beat the piss out of Ferrari, Ferrari just kind of dropped the ball on the pit strategy. Alonso's tyres were almost on its last legs and Vettel had a fresh set. They should have known the german would close the gap from his practice and quali times.

Vettel helped develop the Q50.

And there we have it.

Translation:

From 2014 i will no longer be driving for Ferrari. I would like to thank the team for all the victories and incredible moments experienced together. Thank you also to my wife and all of my family, to my fans and all my Sponsors. From each one of you I have always received a great support! Right now I want to push as hard as possible with Ferrari for the remaining 7 races. For next year, I want to find a team that can give me a competitive car to win many more races and challenge for the Championship which remains my greatest objective! Thank you all. Felipe

HOLY BAT.... ROBIN, Kimi will drive for Ferrari next year, I think Vettel might have a little more competition at the top next year, sorry ham, alonso, you wont be holding a wick to Kimi with Ferrari. Especially since this means not #1 and #2 driver with Ferrari

Kimi Räikkönen Will Drive For Ferrari Next Year

I'm not sure if I like the idea of Kimi and Alonso on the same team. I like them both and while they can push each other, they can also not work together so well. Remember Hamilton and Alonso on the mclaren team? Although Button and Hamilton combo seem to work well. I really hope it works out for Ferrari next year. It will really be an interesting 2014 season.

Even more interesting when V6's get tossed in the mix :)
