Just discovered this thread.

I'm impressed with the performance of Red Bull, particularly under the hands of Vettel. Even without KERS, he was just over 0.1secs behind Webber and ahead of Lewis on the Merc.

It's looking like a runaway for Red Bull later, but I'll still watch the race for the scraps behind them.

Player, congrats on your Lewis Hammertone (thanks UK Paul :))

I think you were depriving yourself long enough waiting for ALO to put together a win. But he is starting on mediums, so he has an advantage after 5 laps :)

Congrats and great seeing you over in REOvil :)

Thanks again and thanks UK Paul for coming up with Lewis Hammertone. With the way things are going, I don't think Alonso would win a race anymore this season. Anyway, the championship has been decided and it's time to look forward to the next season.

P11. That's how it is. I think he'll wind up getting up to 6th by turn 1 but finishing 2nd in the drivers / constructors is gonna be a challenge. Looking forward to watching the race. :)

I really hope so. At least this happened when the driver's championship is not on the line.

US GP - NBC broadcast FP 1 and two :). We usually only get one. My DVR of qualifying got botched though- only q1 then after a few minutes of q2 it went to commercial and when it came back, Vettel was climbing out in parc forme and they were congratulating him on his pole.

The feed for the US events was the best I've ever seen though, sound was incredible, even the voice overs were crisper, I guess because their live?

Lots of great in-car footage too. The track is sick. Looking forward to the race today :)

Your DVRs didn't mess up SXD & P1- the CNBC re-broadcast of qualifying yesterday evening (6:30 pm EST) was really botched up. They showed all of Q1, then part of Q2, broke for a commercial and skipped to Vettel climbing out of the car in impound after Q3-...??? Found out the live USA Men's Curling Pre-Olympic Match (or somethin' like that) went into overtime so they showed all of that!

NBC's coverage of the race today was exceptional however - 1 hour pre-race and 45 minutes post-race, plus the as-usual great FOCA feed of the race itself.

Yep, got to see Q2 and Q3 Sunday afternoon on another channel. I didn't miss much, with ALO qualifying on the 3rd row and MAS languishing in 13th.

Aside from cementing that Vettel is unstoppable. The race feed was exceptional. Much better quality and more content than the international feeds we get.

I like the donuts too. I'm guessing well see them again next week in Brazil :)
