When I plugged in one of the wires, the light lit up. Make sure the polarity is right on the batteries. I didn't try to charge anything with it, I went straight to taking it apart.

cause i have never even seen a mod let alone make one.. i just saw these and thought hey. it has almost everything.. its small... feels good in your hand.... bet someone brainy could make them work... im almost done with this last bunch of people ... i may have a couple left. i know a couple people showed intrst in buying a huge amount.. i asked the store owner if i called him if he would count up whats left and hold them for me he said yes..( cause i have been there four times buying large amounts) so... if someone with paypal does want a large amount like fifty of them that means 100 little mod boxes let me know i will go get them with your paypal money.. remove them from the packaging and put them all in a flat rate shipping box. i would love to have the battery i need for the mod conn is making me.. maybe we could trade! sassyblonde

thanks Sci, Ya no luck yet on 6 of em. Changed devices and polarity on all of them.
anything you may have seen inside that could have tripped out? I'll probably just mull over it tonight and take one apart in the morning and see whots, whot.

If I cant get em to work, there will be 5 more available.

would it be possible for you to see how much voltage goes to the regulator, I'm presuming 3v.

well look at it this way rose.. you decide to mod.. you have a box that alot of other people have modded!!! lol even posts in here with instructions in them!!!! and if nothing else.. they will charge a ipod in about an hour.. a small phone or mp3 with a mini usb port in about 40 minutes my grandson and i tried it out today.. nice little charger! sassy

It`s a booster board of some sort. And yes at the regular AA 1.5 Volt batteries it is receiving like 3 volts since the batteries are in series.
I had my first one work to see what you were after. Be sure the AA batteries are in opposite direction when you install them according to the boxes positive and negative end directions. Only use the regular AA batteries on this board..

The cords when plugged into the device should cause the LED to light just by plugging the cord in doesn`t have to be on anything else.

I could get some pictures up of that booster board and all the little things on it. I imagine sticking 3.7 volt batteries in series would destroy a number of things there. But if you are in fact using only typical AA batteries Maybe they are dead.

What Connman said &, if you'll look inside the box, it has the direction the batteries should go labeled. That board is putting out 5v with 2x AAs(around 3v) in it, but, you can't vape from that. Not enough current. I hooked up a 901 atty, with 2x AAs, it did produce a little vapor, very little. Hopefully, I'll have the time to finish the I'm working on tonite & will post a pic or two. There is enough room to put 2 14400s in there in parallel(2x the battery life) or in series(5v) with a regulator. You just have to make some small modifications to the inside as the 14400s are a little longer than AAs.
