Am I wrong about just getting a T3 head that is meant for a 510? Because I swear I'm using exactly this setup as I type; an eGo Twist with a T3 I got from SI, only I'm using one of heads I got from somewhere else. Unless I've got my parts confused in my parts drawer. Which is entirely possible.
;)

Yes you can do that. I've done it. ;)

Does anyone know if this adapter work?
Joye 510 to Joye eGo or eGo-T style connector adapter

I looked on the SI website and didn't find anything regarding their T3 working on an ego-Twist. Do you have a link?

Thanks, Jim

You don't need an adapter. Just get the replacement heads for the Kanger T3 to fit on the ego twist. The body of the Kanger and SI T3's are exactly the same. The only difference is the bottom portion. I switch them all the time.

I've been using a brand new T3 for a few days now, my first one, and while I really like it, I have found something really annoying since even the first fill - anytime I get to about 1ml or less in it, I get massive gurgling and leaking onto the battery. I know for certain that I did not drip any into the air tube, and I have double checked the seals on the unit and they all appear OK. It seems more like a pressure/overwicking issue, where the liquid gets overwicked into the atty, and builds up to where it gets sucked into the air tube. I've actually gotten a huge moutful from it. Once I clean and refill, all is good until about 1ml left when the issue happens again. Did I just get a dud, or is there something else going on?

Vapor and flavor is great, btw.

You're not the only one this happens to... That sounds about right. After refilling it's fine. It's not a dud. Others may give opinions of why that happens or how to prevent it.

I am speculating here, but...it sounds like it's wicking too quickly. Most people seem to have problems with dry hits from wicking too slowly, so the opposite of that fix might help in this case. Make sure that the base is firmly tightened onto the tank. If that is the case, take the coil assembly off and make cure the small silicon seal is down, tight, against the wick housing. This may "pinch" them off a little and reduce the over wicking problem.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your results and mileage may vary. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied.

Hm….I know what I’d do to fix this, but I’m never sure if I should tell other people to try the same thing. There are two loose wicks under the coil air tube on top of the coil. These wicks are sometimes really crappy. I replace them with one piece of 2mm wick. I sometimes have to adjust the size of the replacement wick to get it to work right.

If tightening up the coil, like awsum said, doesn’t help, and you’d like to try replacing the wick but need help with it, let me know.

J.R.

EDIT : To buy a piece of wick online and pay shipping on it will cost more than a replacement head for the T3, but you’ll have enough wick to use several times.

ya know, it could be condensation buildup as well. I do get a gurgling when my t3s get low, but they don't get leaky. Every few puffs or so, take a moment and unscrew the t3. Blow through it. You'll find vapor has stayed trapped in the air tube. It's a common thing with all clearos. Some are worse than others. But that vapor condenses back to liquid form if it's not cleared regularly. On a manual it's easy, just by tooting without pushing the battery. On an auto, you may actually need to unscrew and blow every so often, unless you can toot past the cutoff every so often to clear it.

With sealed batteries I actually do blow every few toots but I know if I tell someone to do that, someones going to manage to blow that moisture right into their expensive x2 and ruin it. Soo....don't do that.

Thanks for the advice everyone. It seems that the problem is getting worse, I need to clear out the mouthpiece and tube a few times a tank now. Checked the seals and they seem in place and OK. No cracks or obvious seal issues. Guess it is either 'just the way it is' or I got a dud. I find the issue to be problematic enough that I don't intend to use the T3 much, and will likely leave it around as a backup device.

Out of curiosity, how new/old is that T3? How much use has it had? I had one that started gurgling and lost vapor output, yesterday. I took the coil out and gave it a quick rinse but that didn't help, so I replace the coil unit to cure the problem. That coil, the one that gurgled, is soaking in vodka right now since the coil looked kind of gunked up. If you're using a heavy or sweet liquid that could also cause a similar behavior.

Another thing I just noticed is that if the battery output drops enough you can end up with gurgling and low vapor output. It was driving me nuts this morning, then just for a laugh I tried the pass through mode and everything was working fine. Needless to say the battery is on a charger and seems to be charging normally (monitoring charge current).

That's one of the advantages of the Spinner. If it startes gurgling a little or your not getting enough TH, you just crank up the voltage a little.

Practically new - I only filled the tank three times so far, opened about a week ago. I am using darker liquid - Highbrow Vapor's Cappucino Diablo, but I don't think the coil is dirty yet. No discoloration of the liquid or taste changes indicitive of a dirty coil.

Battery is an X2 -900mah, tried both pass through and fully charged, made no difference. It is definitely a leaking issue due to flooding, I suspect overwicking is the issue.

I was using a VV as well and cranking up the voltage only drains what charge is left on the battery even faster. Not a big deal, to be sure, but battery life can be extended is they're babied a little. Since I'm cheap, I'll charge it back up and hope I get longer life.
