Early on in my coil winding endeavors I tried a heavier coil wire than my usual 28ga wire. I test fired at 10W and nothing happened. I touched the coil to see if it was warm and received a spiral tattoo of burned flesh for my actions. That was when I learned that even though a coil doesn't turn red it still can be hot enough to burn flesh!

When I first started vaping I didn't remember I needed to change the coils. One day I noticed I was getting more flavor and I couldn't figure out why but I liked it. We were on our way out to meet friends for dinner when I had to stick my head out the window to throw up. We immediately went to the vape shop where I learned that since the coils had never been changed I was getting the ejuice in my mouth!!

Lesson learned!!

Yesterday I noticed that an 18650 battery has gone missing. I'm methodically searching the area around my desk but so far it hasn't turned up. I think it was in a stretchy cover, but still it needs to be found.

In my early days of vaping I had an efest charger that you didn't take batterys out of. It LAUNCHED them across the room. Yeah many a battery hunt have I been on. LOL

Forgot to put the cap on after building a coil. I held the mod up to my lips and fired before the mod touched my lips. It really was a burning learning experience.
Also fired a mech mod while building and installing a coil. I got some really cool looking burn marks on my finger, and I could smell the skin burning on the coil..

Just filled my RTA with some new juice (there was a little bit of the old juice left so I knew it would take a few draws to taste the new one) Barely two draws and the battery died... never got to taste the new stuff. Both of my little MTL "drop-in coil" tanks need new coils... looks like all I have is my crappy little pod for the evening... at least it has 18 mg nic LOL

And yes, I have another mod with a charged battery, but the RTA 501 is short and doesn't connect on that mod.
Wait a minute... just remembered I have a little internal batt mod that is charged... dang it! (only has preset wattage settings that won't work for the RTA).... that's it, were's the crappy pod!

The only mistake I ever made as a new vaper that's worth mentioning is that I used to chase that "great" tobacco flavors. It caused me a lot of grief and a ton of money.

But it's behind me now.

I bought a blu in 2015 haha and the liquids they offered were 100% PG 18mg disgusting tobacco flavor, you can imagine I was choking to death on a nasty juice. Didn't even know what PG or VG was back then, after a week I thought that vaping is not for me ... fail

I still have one bottle of that disgusting liquid, hence I know it's pure PG and why I was choking on it so badly lol

They were all VG when I got em. Johnson Creek (since gone from the industry). I can't do high VG which was probably part of my problem (along with the brutally bad batteries).
