Hey all! I am on vacation :cough: I mean travel for work (it really is work, as we have been doing 12-16 hours days! But I am happy to be out of the lab I work in normally and the weather in Arizona is wonderful!) and took my microstick with me! It is running the Spheroid and I couldn't be happier. I don't rebuild my coil much, I have been pulling the top off leaving the wicking material wrapped, pull the wick out, put the body back on, and dry burning it. Then re-wicking and putting Spheroid back together and topping off the liquid. So I can dry burn my Spheroid in my Microstick, and am very happy that I can do so, especially while on travel.
So just catching up, and saw some posts on scratching. I wear jeans a lot, and catch my MS on the little copper colored buttons of my jeans taking it in and out of my pocket. It does not scratch. In fact, I thought it was at first, but I have used anything from hand sanitizer wipes, to gun cleaning solutions to clean the MS. When I do clean it, I realize that the MS is actually scratching the stuff it comes into contact with, and I just have to get the metal off the anodizing, and it looks new! I have been beating it up out in the field this week, and no problems! It's a little tank that can take a lot of use and abuse!
So the only thing I would ask, is the 510 connection sealed? I want to be able to rinse it, as I have overfilled my Spheroid a few times and been using various ways to wipe MS out when the Spheroid leaks. Q-tips, wraps, or towels etc...
