It was a rough morning til someone posted a video of a cat in a shark suit riding a roomba around to my fb feed....
Oh my..I know the funniest stories of roombas from a bird forum! This poor girl had this happen not once but TWICE!
She had left it going while leaving the house, and one of her little dogs was having some uhmm problems with "loose you know what".
Well the roomba hit that mess and went nuts just swirling and swirling in it . Around and around and around.
After that we all called it "The Poomba":laugh::laugh:

Thanks, JohnD! :) I'll check out KidneyPuncher for the coils. Have you used them yet? How're they vaping for you?

No, haven't used one yet. Still working on one of the 'standard' BDC's. Can't bring myself to throw one away too early. Also looking forward to using up one of the BVC's so I can tear one open! Yes, I've seen the videos, but nothing like doing it yourself.

Have one of those coil jig doohicky things......K.K. Vapetek. Sat down and made 20 coils with wicks over a couple of hrs.

I've always used drill bits, but went ahead and ordered one of those coil jigs. Should be here today or tomorrow. No more finger cuts from sharp drill bits :p

Welp, we'll both be testing out this new gear. I'll give them both a fair shake, but I'm not hopeful. Clearos and I have never fallen for one another, for whatever reason. But to be fair... we'll dance.

Siriusly!!!!!!! I could not understand ONE WORD you said!! LOLOLOLOL! I'm so not southern. Oh help.

Okay I will translate into English...hehe :D
Not being very coordinated with finger/lappy cam I was concentrating more on where my finger was headed..lol
But after Chy-Chy says Oh My Gosh .. Stop, I says She's got hairy feet..hairy..hairy FEET! Then something on the order about my misguided finger.
They were all picking on my other niece Becca (15) about her toes..so little funny girl there had made a video on her tablet of Beccas feet...She's a mess that one..love her to pieces!

Whew...caught up... Had a fabulous weekend camping with family (especially the grandkids) I was feeling great this morning but fading fast this afternoon..think they wore me out:laugh: Congrats on the wedding sounds like all went well and also that your tip was found...Dr Doug will fix it up. I have so many of the original Nautilis coils that I won't be trying the new ones for quite awhile.
I am a new REO user and absolutely love them but have been building coils for quite some time. I will say the RM2 is very easy to set up, if you want to give rebuilding a try it's a nice place to start. I have a Hana Mini and MVP Petals.... love the Hana Mini and how my KFL looks on it, the MVP however lasts much longer per charge and is so much less expensive. I will never use the 30W power level available on the Hana...

hi Iowa!! Nice to see you. Like you, I have just caught up. I have decided this thread moves too fast for my busy life so I won't be able to take the time to read everything anymore.:( Here it is my flex day and I am supposed to be doing bills, running errands, catching up at the home front and it is already 2:15. Nope, can't do it anymore. Will just have to skim from now on...

Thank you, Hemptation. :) Have tried the regular sized Hana and it's a bit too big for my hands. The mini Hana is right sized, but doesn't look to have replaceable battery. There also seems to be an issue with the company's service if you have a problem as I've read on a thread here and on The Vapin Greek's facebook. :( I've been drawn to the Hana's red and lime green colors and wish ProVape would hurry up and show me their ProVari 3!

The mini just charges like a phone Choo. I love mine so much. Perfect size. I use it all the time when I'm at the computer and it runs about 4 hours for me off the computer if I was using it exclusively.

Well, shoot, now will have to decide what to do. Just visited SunVapers web site and they've got the Naut. Mini for sale at $29.99 and also the MVP2 Petals for $39.99. Do believe there's a 10% off coupon out there as well. No new replacement BVC yet for a couple of weeks. I've been happy with my ProTanks and Davides. Learned how to rebuild them with cotton and 30 Kanthal, but was thinking about an IBT to try. Have heard such great reviews about the Naut. Mini tho and its vertical coil am tempted. Any thoughts?

Love my nautilus mini. Looks great on the mini hana, too.:)

I've got an Aerotank Mega coming prolly tomorrow. I've heard a lot of good things about THAT one, too. I plan to pit it up against the Nautilus for a comparison vape test. Will report back!

Welp, we'll both be testing out this new gear. I'll give them both a fair shake, but I'm not hopeful. Clearos and I have never fallen for one another, for whatever reason. But to be fair... we'll dance.
It's truly wonderful (in all senses of that word) that we all can choose our vape, vape gear, vape style. I have ZERO desire to give up my "messy tanks". ;) (which are not at all messy and give me the best of consistent sweet vapes)

Amen sista!!

Mine Aero mega is vaping wonderfully KD. Plus I like how easy it is to get the bottom off. The only thing I don't like about these is it seems one can only get them 2/3 full because of where the post ends. I wish they would figure a way to let us fill the whole tank up!:glare: I got the aero mini, too but haven't taken it out of the box...yet:ohmy:

Ok coil builders-advice please:) Would that be something that I could easily learn and more importantly do with my arthritic hands. My thumb use is limited. I know that you have to learn and understand ohm's law more than just the basics as well. Once my Hana gets here, I may want to eventually try a Kayfun on it so I can play with the higher watts just a wee bit;) I have another Nautilus coming and am happy with them
:) But curiosity is getting me interested in rebuilding.

Kanger Aerotank Mega arrived today! I'm cleaning it now and as soon as it's dry, I'll tank 'er up and give 'er a whirl!

Mommabird, congrats on your newest device. There are a TON of vids on rebuilding and even more threads here on ECF. It's not just about Ohm's law. It's quite important to understand the C rating of your batts as well as the gauge wire you'll be using and also testing for shorts. I do know it's a whole lot easier now with coil gizmos and prewrapped coils from FT tho. For me, with my one or two little drippers, I simply go to a vape meet and stick out my hand. There's always someone to do that close up, fine work. I still haven't found the desire.

I'm an "appliance" vaper in a disposable world. (vs. those who like to take the washing machine apart to see what's wrong) Thankfully my disposables won't be filling a land fill any time soon. I use my vape gear to ..... welp, forever!

Momma -- I don't advise you get a Kayfun..those have limited room for a coil,(coils) but start with a RDA like this one:
Plume Veil RDA Clone by Acerig - $23.99
Perfect for a Hana Mod and really vapes an enormous amount of flavor and clouds..but, if you are set on a tank system, I guess a Kayfun would suit your needs as long as it isn't the Kayfun Light. Go with the 3.1 at least.
I have no Genesis tank systems experience but some swear by those.

I agree, battery safety is a big factor since she will be using a Hana especially..but I doubt Momma will be building sub ohm down to .3 or .2 ohms.
Efest IMR Purple 35A Or Sony 30A batteries should always be used IMO. AWs are great ones also.

LOL no sub ohming for me;) Thanks for the advice. I will likely be using the Nautilus since it has worked well for me but my curiosity is up about rebuilding here lately for some reason;)

I have a vouple of fresh AW IMR batteries on hand and I doubt that I will be going high on the watts. But I may go ahead and get the recommended Sony or the purple Efest to stick in it for longer battery life. I have good luck with the life of the AW's in my Provaris. Of course I rotate about 3 mods regularly throughout the fay too! LOL

Thanks tons Sirius! going to hunt down some videos to watch too and see what it's all about :) I'm one of these types that researches the heck out things before I plunge;) Drives hubby nuts. If he wants to know something, he asks me knowing that I will look it up;) LOL

Rebuilding is not nearly as difficult as people think it is before they start building their own. Even with arthritic joints, you should be fine building. If you can thread a large sewing needle, you can build and mount a coil. Ohm's law is also pretty easy to pick up once you get into building. Buy yourself an ohm meter, it does double duty for you. First, it will act as a base to hold and support your atomizer while you work on the coil, and second obviously it will read and display the resistance of the coil you build and mount, or report back that there is a short so you know to check your connections. If you want an easy source of info, google 'steam engine calculator' for a website that is dedicated to the DIY vaper. It has easy spreadsheets for coil wrapping, ohms law, battery calculations, even juice mixing.

Kayfun's are great atomizers, but consider them to be more of an advanced clearomizer with a deck for rebuilding your own coils. They work best with normal resistance coils, and lower wattage. They are not really designed to be high output low ohm devices, for that you would want to just get a nice simple solidly built dripping atomizer, something like the tugboat, enigma, tobh atty, zenith v2, or origen v2 would be a good starter dripping atomizer to learn sub-ohm coil building and really crank up the watts on that hana mod. The Nautilus will work very well on the Hana mod, just screw it into the mod, drop the watts all the way down, and just slowly work your way up until you get in a good flavor zone and dial it in to just right from there.

Definitely try your hand at coil building, worst case you realize its something you are not comfortable with, but at least you know you have tried.

EDIT: Oh yea, and the AW batteries will be just fine in the Hana mod if you are just using pre-built atomizers. The AW are rated for up to 10 amps continuous duty, far more than your 5-10 second puffs on a 1 to 2 ohm nautilus will ever draw from the battery. And also the DNA30 chip has battery sag protection anyways, and will just simply display a warning on the screen and pulse the power output to the coil if the battery is not up to par. But... for $10, a Sony VTC5 and you never have to worry about your battery until its time for a fresh one...
