Sirius, I KNOW that it's the absolutely, mostest gorgeous segmented tip in the whole wide world....even tho we have two in this house; but we need some light on the tip and your REO to make them shine and glow with their awesome powers! :D

This has to be the most AMAZING segmented tip ever! I can't describe it and photos do not do this tip justice at all.

Whew, long day. Finally home. First order of business...

CONGRATULATIONS! to everyone that needs a healthy 'grats today. And anyone else that wants to take one just because, go right ahead as well. =)

With that said, I would like to finally chime in about my first 24 hours with the new BVC coils. Having gone thru a few tanks now changing out several of my favorite flavors when refilling, I feel the need to be honest. This is my own opinion in my experience. I'm not head-over-heels in love with this new coil. Yes, its nice. Yes, it works well. I get a very clean, smooth, tasty vape from the BVC coil. For the price difference in replacement coils, yes, I will be retiring my mini protank 3 in favor of the mini nautilus, its that much better than the protank, and i gain an extra half milli per refill. I will NOT be putting my Kayfun away into storage anytime soon in favor of the BVC in a full size Nautilus, but I WILL be rotating between them regularly when I need the extra juice capacity. To my taste buds and olfactory senses, the twisted 30ga Kayfun with cotton does still seem to produce slightly better flavor, and the difference in battery life is negligible between the Kayfun and Nautilus. I have found my ideal 'zone' with the BVC to be around 4.6-5.0 volts, or about 11-13 watts depending on the juice, and actually prefer the 2 middle airflow holes, usually favoring the 3rd largest air hole. The biggest air hole just feels a little too airy for me, and the smallest is just a little too restricting. I'm surprised I didn't like the largest air hole, as I keep my Kayfun wide open and the draw on it feels 'just right' to me. One other factor preventing me from giving up the Kayfun is that I have seen how filthy my cotton wick gets after just one or two fills of some of my darker all-natural juices. I cant possibly run those juices thru the BVC without expecting to destroy the life expectancy of the coil. Maybe if the wicking material was easy to replace, I could deal with that, but the price of a coil, to know it will be clogged after a couple days, Ill stick with my Kayfun and a cotton ball. I realize this post as started to get a little long winded for such a small audience here on the mountain, so I will leave it at that. Id be more than happy to discuss my opinions at length via PM with anyone that still wants more feedback from me on the subject.

TL;DR: Mini Nautilus with BVC coil gets 2 thumbs up, but I wont be giving up my Kayfun for it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a quality vape without the hassles of maintaining a rebuildable atomizer. If you need a LOT of juice, get the 5ml Nauti and the new BVC coils, you will be glad you did.

That's actually right on point GF3. If my kids were a bit older and I had more time on my hands. I would probably be more into my kayfuns But seeing how I have I fill and run. The new coil suits my needs I support your opinion 100% And value you taking the time to write out a. Honest review for us. As always greatly appreciated

Very nice review GF, thank you! :)

This seems to be the story with most of the heads/coils available now, they are great for "clean" juice, but not so much for the "cloggy" ones. I've found that the Nautilus coils do last a bit longer (a few days) than others (Protank or regular cartos) with some of my favorite "cloggy" juice, so I would imagine the BVC's would have a similar lifespan. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm looking forward to getting some soon!

Well, I cer-tain-ly won't forget August 5, 2014: A baby was born this day in Iowa, a "baby" made it's way home to GA, and this "BABE" made it for 1 yr! :p

Thank you, Dale. Beautiful fireworks!

Edit to add: That "Clif-note" comment broke me up!

Bamrz, everyone has to decide for themselves, but it's good to find out someone else's experience with them to even decide to try. :)

Thanks for the great review GF3! I've found I like the 3rd largest air flow hole, too. The biggest is too airy for me. I'm one of those that would rather not get into rebuilding, so I'm very happy with the new coils and like that I can at least get close to what you all get with the kayfun. I also still love my carto tank. I feel well set up with the two!
Again, thanks! Much appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with us.

I'll be posting three tips shortly. :)

I think you said it well GF.

It seems to me many will find use for both their rebuildables as well as get a very decent vape with this "plug and play" topper, as long as it isn't too much "below them" to buy a very easy to use product.

As vaping history often repeats itself, the BVC will be getting bashed any day now, for reasons that make this old time vaper roll her eyes. Mountaineers, don't let the naysayers dull your enthusiasm. :)

My gosh, I have several toppers I enjoy. I certainly couldn't say that even just a year ago.

BTW, I'm certainly enjoying the Mini Nautilus and am very happy to have some BVC coils in my arsenal. I've only had for a few days and it is showing no signs of aging. Yea!

I do see them as a nice improvement and also make Clearo's fit for a broader vape audience. The new Kanger Mega Aero with new dual coils is also impressing me, and it's not getting much chatter that is positive.

As one of my friends likes to say -- All we really want is a decent vape. For me, plug and play topper is second on the list with rugged and reliable vari the next. The other equipment is just for the fun of it & change of decor.
