Just remembered AGAIN......maybe that nic isn't working so well.......but I did remember! Anywho, because I was tearing up my bod so much playing tennis that my knees and hips were giving me a lot of pain, I began taking calcium, fish oil, multi-vit, and glucosamine sulfate....all bought at Wally World.

If I went out of town and forgot to take my pharmacy :p, the one thing I truly missed was the glucosamine. In about 3 days, I would start feeling those aches and pains again. Have been using it for the last 16 or so years. Haven't needed the knee operations the docs wanted.....Course, I don't play tennis anymore either. :D

Glucosamine sulfate eh? huuum must try that..I've needed knee replacement for a few years now myself. ;)

Aw, so sorry Sirius...(((HUGS))) for you!

Speaking about Robin Williams and the depression that he suffered from, I can say personally that yes it affected me. Having worked in mental health in the past, and having a mother who suffered from depression and also attempted suicide in her younger years, I know how it affects people and their families...it is truly an illness. Here are some words from a friend of mine who suffers from depression...I couldn't have said it any better...

"In the wake of Robin Williams' suicide and everyone's take on depression, let me say this: Depression can and does happen for a multitude of reasons. The truth is it doesn't matter what causes it. What matters is if you treat it consistently and properly. Again, this can mean different things for different people. Some people need therapy, some people need medication, and some people choose a combination of the two, as well as other more complicated alternatives, like the shock therapy.

If you or someone you know suffers from depression, I encourage you to seek help. Don't be afraid of the stigma and don't try to handle it alone. I am not crazy and never was! By the grace of God, I am a survivor.

There are women and men everywhere fighting battles in their minds that you could never imagine because you haven't walked a mile in their shoes. Show compassion. Show them God's Love."

I have to chime in on the glucosamine! I have the most trouble with my hips, but arthritis is getting into all of my joints, and this is such a great help! And I also give my Chi a doggie version because she started having trouble with patellar luxation (kneecap slipping due to problems with cartilage). Since she's been getting her "treat" daily, she hasn't had it occur again. :)

I had the opportunity to work with Robin Williams in the 80's. He was a consummate showman, a really funny guy, and if it took a lot of work to get him off stage on time, well, that was my job. "The little lady with the flashlight won't let me be, I guess it is time to bid you all farewell". I was looking forward to his future, even if he was not when he died.

You're the sleetiest Angel..Won't go into it here, you know my story. Except to say yes, darkness can take over and it takes quite a bit of help to ever see the sun again..But it can be done as I'm proof of it! :)
