Morning Molehillers! Enjoy the vacation puffs. Sorry I haven't been posting any vape of the day pics this week, it's just been so gloomy out here all week and the one sunny day my setup was the same as one I've already posted. Hopefully next week I'll be able to show off some of my new tips from the man cave gallery. Hope everyone's day is going well so far.

I think the Molehill bus needs to head to Michigan before it goes to Washington! I am SO TICKED OFF!

What's the low down on MI..Love that state wouldn't want to cause any trouble for no good reason. lol ;)

ETA
Never mind I just saw about the huge tax..I may have to find another eliquid vendor. :(

I love the state too, but the politicians? ugh! Click on the call to action up there, they have a bill to vote on, 15 cent tax on every 1.5ml of e-liquid. And oh....ecigs are tobacco.

From my thread where I predicted same:

Earlier this year, RJ Reynolds promoted a small but punitive sin tax on e-cigarettes in North Carolina that was passed quickly and over the objection of consumers. It appears we have a similar situation brewing in Michigan where our information is that RJ Reynolds and Altria are brokering deals between themselves and then quietly lobbying legislators to get the tax passed.

The large tobacco companies accept the concept of sin taxes and don’t have much of a problem agreeing to them or even actively lobbying for them. Of course, they don’t actually pay the taxes . . . we, the consumers do. Moreover, the tax structure they push favors the cigalikes they produce and imposes a heavier burden on sales of refill liquid, a product the tobacco companies don’t sell.

I won't say I told them so but...................

PS There's some great sales on nicotine right now (MFS and Heartland).

Not a solution. By the time these bills are introduced, they've been in the works for awhile so it's an uphill battle. I have little doubt lawmakers are not expecting much push back since vaping / smoking is not politically popular so if there is anything that can be done to put a cog in their wheels, it's worthwhile. At least make them dance for their paycheck.

I was putting off stocking up on nicotine. Not any more. I'm up for a deal on some good pure nic base. I can DIY but feel pretty sorry for those who can't.
It's a dang shame it's coming to this. But we all knew it could and would. Politicians suck lemons those good for nothing scoundrels!

Yep, sounds like a good time to just order a 4oz bottle of 100mg base to keep tucked away in the fridge. So long as they don't ban the sale of 0mg juices, which I can't see any legal standpoint they could, some basic math would be the only thing between you and your ideal mg/ml ratio. A few days of steeping and shaking and voila. Only downside is keeping it quiet so none of your vaping neighbors find out and stop over to bum off your stash. LOL

A couple of liters is what I have in mind. AHL just put up a flash sale on Fb 50% off all eliquids. Just for 30 mins so if you love Ahlusion I would suggest you go to their site.

Today's big online Flash sale (50% off) will only run for 30 minutes between 12:30 and 1:00PM ET - server time sharp. Don't miss it as there are no credits, rain checks etc. There will be a few more online sales today and the rest of the weekend but by next week, we'll be focusing on our grand opening week.

Thanks Sirius, my checking account is literally crying right now. Maybe just 1 or 2 bottles wouldn't hurt, right? What's you recommendation on their best bakery vape and dessert vape? Those are 2 flavor profiles my local shop just can't seem to do well.

For sure Strawberry Vanilla Cake..I would also suggest Banana Fosters and Pineapple USD Cake..all are very good imo.

I was putting off stocking up on nicotine. Not any more. I'm up for a deal on some good pure nic base. I can DIY but feel pretty sorry for those who can't.

Mixing your own juice is super simple. Since most juices come in 6mg increments (0mg, 6mg, 12mg, etc.), and 6mg is too much for me to drip, I would buy 2 bottles - one of 6mg and one of 0mg, and mix them to get 3mg. But, even 3mg became too much for dripping, so I got 0mg juice and 50ml of 100mg nicotine base (70VG/30PG) from Nude Nicotine and mixed my own 2mg.

I highly recommend getting this free juice calculator. I compared it to at least 20 online calculators to ensure accuracy. I have a dropper bottle (previously used for medicine) that has markings up to 1ml. They say "on average" there are 20-25 drops/ml, but I counted 26 drops from mine, so I entered 26 into this calculator (extra nice it allows you to do this).

I also used a micrometer to measure what the vape shop sold as an 18ml bottle, did the math, and confirmed it's really 18ml. Maybe a bit extreme, especially considering the low mg's, but it's true to my nature. :)

So, 9 drops of 100mg base into an 18ml bottle of 0mg = 2mg strength.
