Looks like we will have to make room in the freezer for our chocolate hoarding! Or maybe buy a special chocolate-only freezer?

Oh, Kayte, I have an old spice rack set in storage, complete with colored decals on the bottles. I totally forgot about that, what a GREAT idea! I really am going to have to get a few more of the bedazzle bottles, the spice ones don't have dropper tops.

Oh, Darksparkle, we can take some ribbing and see the humor in being at particular locations at certain times of the yr. For myself having lived in southern California, Washington state, outside Chicago, a few southern states as well as southern Florida, find wherever I hang my hat and call home is pretty okay by me! Think my daughter living in Alaska has lost her marbles though!

Years ago I was in correspondence with an RN that lived in Anchorage, moved there from NC after a divorce. She said they had engine block heaters for the cars, and even inside the garage, once it got below -20, they didn't work good enough to start the engines, so they walked or snowmobiled to work. Above -20 they called it cold, below -20 they called it damn cold.

I need a brown... and a green. Oh heck. I need a good dozen. I've been thinking these would look nice on a shelf in the kitchen. I can fill them with flavor extracts and herbs for cooking right? Of course I can!:facepalm:

A turquoise peacock with sparkles. We're going to have to dig deep into my brain for that one.:laugh: Seriously going to have to ponder this one.

Hope you're having a wonderful day too!

:laugh::laugh::laugh:
Glad you have some long sleeve shirts on hand for it!

Is it normal for Houston to get that low? (I have family in the Houston area. :) )

Hot chocolate, pop corn and a movie night?

The 'real feel' thing cracks me up.
Enjoy your sweltering heat! 80 is too hot for me! I'd love to live somewhere that's an average of 63 to 65 with nights in the 40s. Year round. lol

Me too!

I'll have tips to show later on. Have a great afternoon!

OMG have you heard the world is going to run out of chocolate by 2020:confused: They Iowa farmers better figure out how to produce the cocoa bean...

Kayte, I had those same thoughts. I mean, these are gorgeous bottles, but they'll be stuck away where they're prolly going to be little enjoyed. I think I shall take mine for walks around the block and show them to neighbors.

(do not worry. they all think I'm rather strange to begin with.) ;)

And I also share your desire for a VERY short window of temps. I really want to find 78-83 high, low of umm... let's say 60, and I'm being generous there, but I would like to be able to wear my heavy jackets. ;)

Anywhere anyone know of?*

Iowa, we're running out of CHOCOLATE??? Say it isn't so!

Grans, dahling..... you lived in So Cal?? Oooooooooooo, where? :)

Katdarling, my brother was born in Oakland. Lived in a quonset hut on an island off the coast. This was in the 1940's. Remember some steep hills in one place. Dad was in the Navy so I guess anywhere there was a base. Did get to cross the border once into Mexico for a day visit. As a kid, don't ever remember being cold even living north of Chicago at the Great Lakes Naval Base.:p

Yep, Killowatt, they got a engine block heater and even put a heater in their garage. These strange people think it's balmy at 20 above!

You guys have been chatty today! That will take me a while to read. Just when I think things can't get much worse at the office....they get worse. Had a partner and an associate leave with no notice or even any indication they were unhappy today. One of them I've worked with for almost 20 years and it's like losing family, just breaks my heart. The ensuing chaos went on all day and will continue. Such is the life in a law firm. Xanax take me away....

I'll take a peacock too Kayte. And a red tip with sparkles, and a pink sparkly one and pretty much anything sparkly. :D I need the three S's - sparkles, soup and sleep.

It's heading for the 20's down here near the gulf coast. I love it!!
