Kayte, do you think that Liquid Bronze tip would go well on my custom mini bogger box? It's got a padauk body with coco bolo end caps.

Or perhaps the copper lightening? lol

I don't think it would go... especially since it's sold. Really, I'm not to sure that it would go with the padauk. Copper lightening might work better with it. I'll get a piece of padauk and check it next to the copper lightening here in a bit and let you know what I think. Padauk is really orange when first cut but it darkens a lot over time so not an easy wood to match.

Hope everyone is having a great labor day weekend! Mine has been nice. We had family dinner on Saturday and celebrated three birthdays. I made 'thanksgiving dinner'... turkey, dressing, etc. It was good but I learned to be really glad that Thanksgiving is in November when it's cool! It was way to hot to do that much cooking. ;facepalm:

When we lived in HI, we did the Thanksgiving turkey on the spit on the gas grill. It was still hot inside from the pies and veggies, but not quite as bad.

That sounds like a very good plan!
I cook mine 'low and slow'. I haven't tried cooking one any other way. Deep frying them scares me to death.

I might wait until I get it and get a custom tip from y'all.

We can do that. Just to let you know, I did check the copper swirl tip against a piece of padauk and it was a really great match. I was surprised!

Doug and I are both sleep deprived today and the poor man (haha) had to get up at 4:45 and go take care of a house full of grandkids this morning. He spent the rest of the day working on special requests. Tonight is date night so we're going to eat dinner, watch a movie and try to keep each other awake until bedtime.
