Doug had to turn a bug instead.
Seriously... are we good grandparents or what?!? One of our grandsons birthday is tomorrow and he wanted this beetle put in acrylic. (The boys found it and it has been long dead. No bugs were harmed in the making of this icky thing.
) It's HUGE! I laid a nickle beside it for size comparison. About 2 1/4" long. 
His name is Tron.

Me either!!! I'm okay with lady bugs and rolly pollys. I don't consider butterflies to be bugs... those are flying flowers in my book, so I'm totally good with them. But something like this....

I'm really glad to have that project over with and now Tron can go live at my daughters house.
