Well, I have the large "purple' Kanger ProTank glass and it's a reddish purplish color. If I put clear juice in it, it shows good color. If I put darker juice in it, you lose color, but that's true with all of them. This IS clear glass. If I put red juice in it, it shows more of a mauve color. The mini "purple" is more of a faint lavender. The large "blue" and the mini "blue" are a baby blue. Very pretty with clear juice. The large red shows red with clear or red juice. The mini red is a faint color. More pink.

The Davides both mini and large have a "dark" blue that is hard to see thru. The mini blue in some light looks almost dark purple. Bet it can me made purple with red juice! The large green is dark, but the mini is pale green. There is a large gold (not yellow), but no mini gold. The "purple" is very faint. More like a lavender. There is no large red, but a mini red shows well with clear or red juice.

I guess you wouldn't need colored glass if you could find the juice in colors you wanted to match your tips. I HAVE seen green juice, and I DO have blue juice besides the standard yellow, gold, brown, some red. Next having found them would be LIKING them!

"Not meaning to mind your business or anything ... but why add something like that to the mix?"

Hey, Daleron! Do you mean colored glass or colored juices? Ha! I only bring home juices I've tried at the B&M's that are around here. The colored glass is fun more for clear juices which aren't hard to find and a few are liked. :)

Even natural based flavorings can have a color. I wish I could find the article again, but I read about how different flavors color each other. I thought MM claimed his line, including Pluid had no coloring added. My first experience was with the Fuzion line. Unicorn's Blood, Gumby's and Krakenberry (or something like that - I didn't like that one). Those are strong red, green and blue. At least that's what I thought. I may be wrong.

PS. Thanks for the description of glass tank colors. That really helps me a lot.

Welcome back Iowa! Hope you had a great vacation and catching up doesn't take too long. :)

Cat, hope everything goes smoothly with the application process and she gets right in!

Sorry there haven't been any tips for a few days. Doug has been taking care of special requests. Hopefully new ones to list tomorrow! :D

I've been organizing the 'pantry' and trying not to worrying about sick grandkids that are down with the flu. One ended up in the ER last night for a mega dose of steroids. Poor little guy. At least my pantry area is looking great.

Kayte I hope the flu leaves your family alone soon...it's nasty this year and so far we've managed to dodge it. I have to admit I'm one of the culprits holding things up for everyone else but have two of the most beautiful tips headed my way. Once I receive them I promise to post a picture of my little family...love them all.

Vacation was fast but really nice, good weather, fabulous company. My mom, sister and I are so close and we had a really rough year so it was great to just relax and laugh so much my tummy still hurts.

Here's a link to a California, US seller that has the orange and green ProTank-II glass I mentioned earlier. They also have blue, which I've never seen. I called the shop to ask if they've actually seen the glass, and to confirm the photos on their website are accurate.

vapor-hub - Replacements Glass Kanger Protank 2 | Vapor Hub

EDIT: I ordered 1x each of green and amber (as I have the FastTech versions, and need backups in case of breakage), and 2x of the blue. I'll report back when the package arrives.

EDIT2: This is SO off topic here, so I'll add another edit. In a previous post, I mentioned the Davide BCC to BDC adapter that works on a ProTank-II. Just found this (thanks ........!), and ordered a couple. I'm going to have the most frankenstein ProTank out there! Kanger ProTank-II, Davide BCC to BDC adapter, Aspire dual-coil heads, and Kanger AeroTank base!

    Cool beans! Thanks, John. :)

Edit: Oh, John, just this morn was looking at air flow controller. Already have the Davide BCC to BDC adapter for both my Davides and ProTanks, but it doesn't seem to be helpful to me since I've started to wick with cotton. The taste seems to be the same. Hopefully, the AeroTank base will do the trick! Thank you again for the info. :)
