Hi everyone! Hope you had a beautiful weekend and a good Monday. I got delayed starting on my kitchen, but got going on it today. And now my right arm is going to fall off. Funny how it seemed so simple and quick in my head. I used to do projects like this in no time! I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm not as young as I used to be.:sneaky: I'm not taking it well. :glare:

I should have tips to list tomorrow. For now, I'm going to take a tylonal and watch a movie. :)

Very smart son-in-law came up with a saying after doing several home projects, "Twice the money and three times the time of your original estimate". :D

Hubbs added,......."and 4 times the recovery period".....or just add a week for each decade over 30!

BUT! After it's completed, it's the prettiest, finest project there ever was done!!!!!

Very smart Doug always says the same thing.. only his estimate is 3 times the money you think. I wanted 1/2" x 1 3/4" slats... just plain old slats, nothing fancy. It turns out those were going to be the most expensive part of what I was doing.:glare: So, I'm reworking my plan.

Not to wild about your husbands addition recovery time. I need to get this finished so I can get started recovering! Having all the cabinet doors off is really getting to both of us. I keep wanting to shut doors that aren't there and Doug said this morning he just felt completely distracted and lost while trying to make a pot of coffee. Sensory overload? It's apparently been too long since we worked on the house. We lived in it as a construction zone for years and did quite well. Not anymore!:laugh:

Good morning....figured it out and snagged the Pink:rickroll: Hope everyone has a good day...going to be busy at work today..

Thanks Iowa! It'll be on it's way today! Hope you have a smooth, good day at work.

Don't yet know enough about forums to know if that is good viewing or not. Can someone inform me.....again? :)
