Two potpourri's up on the website now. :D

I love love love them capped with black. So classy and almost has a snow globe feel.

Pale Pink Rose Globe Potpourri - Acrylic

Pale Peach Sparkle Potpourri - Acrylic (This one said 'sparkle me', so I did. It was right! :D )

The lighting made them more yellow. They aren't. There is some antiquish pinkish creamy tan... not yellow. The above photos are pretty accurate I'd say.

Hey... how did everything go Friday? Wonderful food and company and much appreciation all around?

Much brisket, chicken, and salmon was had by all. If only we didn't have to drive up to NH to do the other one in August!

So the Rocket J Squirrel has been stealing my tips. Today she returned the first one she loved up, and the only one remaining to be found. Bold as brass, she came hunchy halloween catting across the floor, juggling my precious tip between her tiny paws!!!!

Something Had To Be Done. A quick trip to walmart, procuring a cute little $2.50 plastic card file box, and I was on a Mission. Purple leather, some foam sheets (yay, dollar store pack!), and a bit of labor later, I present to you the rough unfinished version of the Look But Don't Touch, Evil Cat! Tip Safe.

Note: the layered padding of leather and foam fits on the bottom, the top, the side, and in the lid, of the box. So amusing, this physics thing that is everywhere!

The "tip tray" will be finished off with very thin black leather rolled edges, but I figured I'd give y'all a peep at it before I start getting picky =) I found the layered craft foam did a lovely job of retaining tips gently, but it really needed purple leather, so I topped it off with that.

Oh, the "peach globe"! The "peach sparkle"! Kayte, there's so many things you can do with the "globe" idea! :w00t: Let the guys have their wood. Us womens will have globes! :pervy:
Isn't it wonderful?! I agree! I'd rather have a globe!
I may have to come out of retirement to afford as many of your goodies as I want to have!
You could come cook for me in trade for tips. :w00t::laugh:
You should go finish your project now and don't look at the tips I'm about to list. ;) You too Choochoo. We don't want you starvin' on your trip.

Two more for tonight and I'm calling it quits. Busy day!

Climbing Roses - Acrylic (I've done a few of these. I just like them so much!)

This one is unreal... the pink/reddish area almost glows in a neat transparent sort of way. I don't know how to describe it! It's stunning and fascinating.

Fantasia - Acrylic
