You are very correct, Sirius, and enjoyed reading what needed to be said. "In general" believe ALL of us love Doug's wood tips, but the ladies do gravitate to many colors and bling. Then, the ladies do seem to have more interest in tips having more of a statement to their whole setup.....sorta akin to decorating the home or dressing for a night out. 
Seems like we've got more options in our culture.
What brings in the most income for Kayte and Doug to make a living at something they love doing and rings my bells? You betcha! Am vaping right now on my "Calamity Jane", page 945, post 9442; and it got the most attention at Sun.'s mini meet among the ladies with hubby's "Dyed Box Elder Burl", Page 692, post 6914, coming in a close second with the guys!

100% agreed there Chooch..and will add that this little gem of a tip, sat neglected on the site overlooked. Has no bling what so ever. So I nabbed it.

Believe me when I say this..and don't get me wrong..I mean no offence to the ladies here, but the Cave will remain shy of tips with only a couple available at all times because of the amazing variety of exotic woods Doug has to make tips with that appeal to us guys. Sure, gals love some of them too, but you wont see many of the ladies clamoring for a Straight 4mm hole ancient Recovered Oak or a burl. Jus' sayin'.

Oh my gosh... laughing so hard over here! The thread certainly took an entertaining turn!
I'm sorry to hear that the man cave thing caused a conflict for you. For me, it was merely a matter that men and women decorate a little differently in some instances and the guys around here were feeling a shortage of 'man tips' since so much of what we do are indeed pretty girly. That would mostly be... well... my fault. So putting up the man cave page on the website was more for humor than anything else. (Did you notice that The Sound of Music is what's on the tv in the photo of 'the cave'? Don't tell the men though. )
But, all that aside, the cave isn't a regular feature... it was a special occasion. I've just been so busy that I hadn't gotten around to change the status of the page. (It's going to take me awhile because I'm not very techy when it comes to making changes on the website.) I do hope we can do it again, but the tips already have pages that they normally go on. (The front page as well as in "Original Acrylic" -- things you won't find elsewhere, "Wood Art Tips" and "Acrylic Art Tips.") If you (or anyone!) has fun suggestions for what we call it next time, I'm all ears.
