When is the Man cave gonna open? I want to see some manly tips!....wow that didnt sound right! You know what I mean

If I understood Kayte correctly, man cave was a one shot event, like an artist gallery, and it's over now technically. It was last Friday night. Manly tips do make an appearance on a regular basis so just check the site and here for when new ones are added.

I want a driptip made out of cats eye... Is that a possibility?

I'm not sure if Doug, or any custom tip makers, are set up to work on real gemstones like cats eye. Not sure you would like the price either if they could. There are however lots of really nice acrylics out there that can mimic the colors and reflective properties of the real thing that Doug might have access to and could make a tip from.

Sexy Momma..and more to my liking..I love my Copper Vanilla mod! ;)

TY Sirius :) It was a tossup between the Penny and the Vanilla ;) The switch on this one was a little easier for me to manage. Liked them both. I really like it and dripping. Built my first dual coil. Was shooting for 1.0 ohm and it came in at .90 ;) I think that have plenty of girls for now. 1 REO, 1 Copper mech, 2 Provaris and 2 Hanas. All getting love:)

The kanger tip wells are a bit shallow, but mine works just fine in my mega, in a fogger it fits perfect.

I know everyone is all copper this and copper that with mods lately because of the non existent voltage drop on them, but man what I wouldn't give to score a nice stainless vanilla mod (with the VANILLA logo) used someday.

Cats eye isnt expensive and there is fake cats eye that looks exactly the same, I think it should be looked into as I think they will do very well

You should PM Kayte here and get her some info and links so Doug can look into it. I'll bet you and I are talking about the same 'fake' stuff which should be easy for Doug to get a hold of and make tips from, if he can get the raw material in the right shape/size.

Morning Mountaineers...day did not get off to a good start...had to take a cool shower because something's wrong with the water heater...after all that mess with the gas company yesterday, they did turn the gas back on to the house after the repairs and my stepson relit the pilot on the water heater, but even after all night, the water was not hot...I have him going back over to the house this morning to check on it...hoping it's not going out on me...that's the last thing I need right now!

Dang it, Angelphyre, hope it's not the burner. Had to replace one several years ago.....Kicked a hole in our budget alright. :( On the other hand in a positive light, bet you moved right smartly this morning.....Lots of "get up and go"! :p

That's for sure...took the fastest shower in history! Still waiting to hear from him and keeping my fingers crossed!

Me too, Chooch. The only way I can vape a bottom button is 2 handed and it looks RIDICULI. I don't really care how silly it looks, but c'mon. I need my other hand to hold my wine glass. ;)

Well that's why you don't like it. A fine mechanical with an 18350 should nestle in your hand comfortably with the fire button cuddled up on the side of your ring finger knuckle. Raise pinky and give the mod a reassuring embrace with the rest of your hand. You will soon be wondering why you've been fussing with side buttons all this time. =)

Oh they do..they truly do..Haven't even used this mod in awhile so maybe I'll break the 18350 tube for the 'Vela out.

Yes! And, if using IMR's one has to not let it drain too much or the battery itself wears out very quickly. I know, I've done it. Not sure about the "hybrid" batteries needing to be removed earlier as I was mostly using vari's by the time they were invented. Now my batteries have long lives. :)

Well, GF, don't think I tried one small enough. I'll retry......but doesn't the vape lessen in quality as the battery power wanes?

It depends on your definition of quality. The REO is a mechanical mod, and there's as big of a following of those devices as there are provarinati. Yes it's a different game. You are dependent on the battery, it's charge level, and it's capabilities. You are not restricted by the limitations of a regulated circuit board. It requires a little fore-thought when building your coils. But overall I would say it's no better or worse than a regulated vape, just different.

No sub ohm builds can be used on 18350s..I build that 'Vela around 1.5 ohm single wrap coil. Not advised to sub with 18500s either. I know some do but I never push the safety issue. As far as vape quality goes, yeah nothing like a twisted 28 at .8 ohm or so. Flavor not as intense either.

You can try your own experiment Chooch with one of your devices and topper of choice. Vape it at your normal voltage and after say a half an hour or so, turn it down a couple of notches and again in an hour or so and repeat until you are down to 3.3. That will be a good simulation of use with your current topper(s).

I guess this recent blast at a vape fest has me re-inspired to promote vape safe fuses and regulated mods. I know, most accidents are just burning one's pants or fingers or purse as long as we use the right batteries, but it's still pretty nasty to me. Incidents like this should be inspirational for everyone to re-read the beginning lessons of rebuiding and battery safety.

I've only experienced one short -- and that was enough, feeling the mod get quite hot very fast. I got it out of the device before it started to actually vent, though it was hot enough that the spring scorched my finger soon after and did need to be replaced as it was collapsing. I still can't believe I was dumb enough to put a shorted store bought atty that my ProVari didn't like on an unregulated mod. At least my studies were good enough to teach me of this danger and my quick response was sufficient. I've never used a topper on an unregulated without checking it on a ProVari since. (I'm too lazy to use other conventional checking methods :).)
