Been hiding in the Lurker thread as always. I try to get over here to read from time to time to keep up with you all.
Aren't those Halibut NICE!!! I'd prob have a stroke if I landed one of those!!

I'd love to go fishing up there too. I'd have to save my pennies though for that particular spot.

I caught a decent one last month during my birthday weekend. DH asked what I wanted to do for my birthday, and I told him I wanted to go fishing. We used to go all the time, but have gotten away from it over the last few years. We've been a few times since, but this is the nicest that's been caught so far.
Not exactly a Glamour Shot of me, but hey, we were fishing. Caught that from the bank with a worm and a bobber too!!! Caught a nice catfish too.
Kind of an inside joke between DH and I, but he always has me "kiss" the fish for the picture. Just too keep the good luck going.

Hey that's a NICE Spot there. Biggest bass I've caught all year wasn't near that size. My fishing this year hasn't been that good. I need new gear from Bass Pro Shops! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

....did you miss the part about I caught that with a worm and a bobber.
DH threw all sorts of stuff....and nope. The nightcrawler WINS again.

I never "kiss" them for reals, but that ones mouth was as big as my face!!! Prob close to 3 pounds, course DH said if it were a fishing show, it would've been 5 or 6 pounds.

Happy Labor Day everyone...to those not feeling the best hope your day improves. I'm just trying to get a lot of little things done around the house today. We had a lot of rain and storms in our area last night. We didn't have any damage...but don't need any more rain for awhile. Hubby went fishing in Alaska in June and brought home lots of yummy fish including halibut.

My nephew is supposed to be sending us some. He'll have quite a lot to take (ship) home.

Not to be a total enabler...but Bedazzle now has decorative glass tanks for the Nautilus Mini I've gotten my work done for the weekend, dinner is in the crockpot and will boil noodles shortly..watch a little tv with hubby then it's back to the real world tomorrow. Hope everyone has found a little time to relax this weekend...we all deserve it.

Good morning everybody! Maybe our being in a "blue funk" or kind of "slow" is that we're worried about Doug's lack of a functioning lathe? He'll have a new one by the end of the week, BUT what happens to US during the meantime? Don't know about you, but I have "withdrawal" symptoms when no new tips are posted.

Okay, just found another site for Nautilus users for BVC coils. Evape.US is selling a box of 5 for $9.95 + $3.00 first class shipping. Just ordered 2 boxes. Mark each box I order with the vendor's name I get them from so if they turn out to be "fake", I'll let them know.

Vaped 2 more days (after a volka soak of 24 hrs and a 3 day dry) off a coil I used for 4 days. I did notice the volka did turn light brownish color with tiny black bits settled at the bottom of the jar. I did NOT use water to rinse before or after the volka soak. I also did not use dark juices in it. The dark juices I'll save for my rebuilt coils.

I've never tried any volka, Ms. Chooch, but I'm down! Your place? Say 7ish?
