Beautiful tips and I do also love the Dropcloth...I can't order any more tips at this point or anything else...momma has exceeded her vape budget for awhile:laugh: Crazy weekend with grandson here but had a great time...then my daughter's little one (a year old) was in urgent care last night for ear infection so got up at the crack of dawn and headed down there to babysit for the day. I'm happy to help but am myself so far behind at work it isn't funny...but got a lot of love and snuggles today so will just have to put in some extra hours at the shop this week to make up for it.

Iowa Gal, first things first.....and "love and snuggles" are really worth it!

Chooch you are so right and I have spent a lot of time with Nellie so grandma is the next best thing to mom or dad. I just love how she lights up when I walk into the house..makes my life complete. One thing our youngest son is working for us now and hubby said he did a great job stepping up today as they were very busy. Give us a year to train him and think he will really be our saving grace at work...and you know when you put your heart, soul and a lot of hours into your own business, it's very rewarding to have a child that wants to get involved.

bro- love Sirius, hope you get to feeling better. no doubt

hope the new lathe is Jamming and spinning and doing its thing. I am sure there is a set up process, to get it the way MasterDougWoodSmith like it to run....

nice catch on those wood tips KS, could have sworn one of those was mine...I kidd I kidd I think I do have some cool tips coming tho. I dunno, hope I do lol

always love my straight wood tips.

yea JohnD you own a vape shop or something? just asking, I am having to wait on my P3 I have played with it a good bit and agree with everything you said. really glad to crank a kayfun up as well. I do max mine out around 18-19 watts the 2.5 same thing using a 1 ohm coil on 4.4 volts is around 18 wats right? I normally do the math in my head on the fly. just to keep from erring out. I am sure you know more about than me. I am new to vaping but I enjoy my Provaris they are the light of my vaping. I do have a 4-9 mod for dripping. various droppers. trying to find something I really like before buying something authentic tho. I did get the tugBoat but that is a no brainer. lol

yeaaaaaaaa mountaineers

Hey everybody!! I leave for vacation to go to Florida tomorrow! I'm pretty stressed out about it because it's right in the middle of the school week, and also, the weather is supposed to be ridiculously hot :( I'm going to Disney World though..... yes, I am obsessed with Disney... just like a child lol. My heart is in Disneyland though because I used to live in California and go there all the time, so it will be interesting to go back to Disney World :) Hope everyone gets some amazing tips and posts pics while i'm gone!! :D And random question, does anybody happen to know the vaping policy there outside of stores and restaurants etc?? I know it's a long shot, but if you do, let me know! :) Have a great week everyone!!! :) :)

Florida pretty muh was vape central everywhere I went. I am pretty sure you are safe to vape anywhere on premises as long as you are outside So Epcot world tour and magic kingdom is all fair game. Stealth vaping is a game within itself. But I am
Positive if it's an issue to vape anywhere. There will be signs. So much of it is outdoors is why I say this. Surely in doors
You will have to observe and respect. Seeing it is for the kids. But you know what your doing. Rock on and safe trip.

Nope - just have friends in the right places. :)

the 2.5 same thing using a 1 ohm coil on 4.4 volts is around 18 wats right?

Well, your math is right, but you're not using 4.4v on a 1-ohm coil on the ProVari v2.5 - it's limited to 3.5A and that combination is 4.4A. With a 1-ohm coil, the hightest voltage you could get away with is 3.5v, and even then it would occasionally not fire due to reaching the amp limit.

ProVari's continually monitor volts, watts, amps, and resistance, and it will not allow you to exceed any one of those limits, regardless of whether you've hit the voltage or wattage limit, etc. The P3 has a 5A or 20W limit. If you build a 0.7 ohm coil (the lowest it'll fire), you'll never achieve the 20W the P3 is capable of, because you'll hit the amp limit first. Same thing if you use a 3 ohm coil - you'll never hit the 20W limit because you'll hit the voltage limit first.

There's a sweet spot for getting the most wattage out of a ProVari, whether that be a v2, v2.5, or v3.

well, I have a 1.1 ohm coil I have been firing in my kayfun at 4.2 volts all day. twisted 28 gauge. when I push it to 4.4 it fires off the ole E2 message at me. but you are probab;y right. I am only getting 3.5 amps either way. which is why the difference was not much between 3.9 and 4.2 all day. bt I have been running tests with the kayfun for 3 days non stop with 2 different builds both close to 1 ohm builds one with twisted and one without. running the navy nest in both as well.

and nice score , I have a few friends that own a vape shop as well. but we are respecting Provapes policies. and my P3 will be the first customer one ordered. I have got to vale on the shops several times. I own several Provari 2.5's tho. so both shop owners are enjoying theirs. I think I will rebuild out at 1.4 -1.6 per your advice to see if this helps with flavor production. that has been my only complaint. side by side with the nautilus BVC coil they just were not producing what the new coil was. but I think I am running them to hot. thank you for the tips and knowledge it is always appreciated

well, I have a 1.1 ohm coil I have been firing in my kayfun at 4.2 volts all day.

Well, sorry to say, but either your Kayfun isn't 1.1 ohms, or you have dirty contacts creating additional resistance. The ProVari 2.5 is limited to 3.5A, so a true 1.1 ohm atty would max out the v2.5's 3.5A current limit at 3.85V. Try using a high quality ohm reader on the Kayfun.

4.2V @ 1.1 ohms = 3.85A (breaks the 3.5A limit)
4.2V @ 1.1 ohms = 16.0W (breaks the 15W limit)

What you have is a 1.2 ohm Kayfun:

4.2V @ 1.2 ohms = 3.5A (at the limit, expect occasional misfires)
4.2V @ 1.2 ohms = 14.7W (close to the 15W limit)

Sorry, not trying to argue, but science is science, and facts are facts. You have at least 1.2 ohms of resistance.

ProVari Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available!
Amperage Limiting to 3.5 amps "The ProVari will monitor and shut itself off if it detects any excessive over-current conditions. If this error occurs the ProVari will alert you by displaying E2 on the digital display. Fix: Lower your voltage setting. V2 - Version 2 now has a higher amperage limit of 3.5amp for low resistance atomizers and cartomizers."

and nice score , I have a few friends that own a vape shop as well. but we are respecting Provapes policies.

ProVape's policies do not disallow the sale of the betas, nor can they legally, as they charge the shops for them. If they were provided free of charge, or under an NDA (in which case the public could not see/play with them), or presented as prototypes to be retrieved at the end of the testing period, then and only then could they legally disallow their sale. Notice how the eBay auctions of a few P3's have not been taken down? Wonder why? They can't.

Additionally, each shop could get up to two. I got one, the other stayed in the shop for people to play with. And finally, the beta program is over, which is why you're starting to see a bunch of P3 betas up for sale now. I only got mine a few days ago, and specifically wanted it in time for ECC, where I showed it off and let many people play with it - just as good, if not better, than being confined to a single vape shop. Plus, I've given ProVape a LOT of feedback, corrections, and suggestions. They're in the feedback compilation mode now, and will decide what changes, if any, to make. I'm sure they'll still listen if problems develop with the betas in the field, and would probably want it sent in for evaluation, but they'd have to replace it since it was a purchased item, still under warranty.

My pleasure - I'm always willing to talk tech. Feel free to PM me anytime also.

So, how 'bout those Molehill tips eh? They look fantastic on a Kayfun/ProVari setup! :D

SarahDoll, WDW has a very grey enforcement policy on vaping. It all comes down to how tight the cast member follows the rules that sees you vaping, but the 'official' policy is that vaping is restricted to the designated smoking areas. Keep it low key and out of crowded areas and you shouldn't attract much attention, but expect a CM to approach you about it sooner or later, and don't give them a hard time about doing their job, all should be well.

PS, definitely don't vape in any rides, you WILL get busted, possibly cause a temporary ride-stop, and risk being escorted out of the park.

My lovely teal and purple cracked tips arrived today! I'm so excited, they are both really GOOD kissers! My favorite vaping girlfriend also received her first MhM tip (she'd been camping the site but her paypal took a while to sort out), and she is so excited it might as well be Christmas morning =)

I counted today. If there are no stragglers, I'm up to around 17 tips now. All but the ones in active use are tucked away in their little travel case for a vape meet next Sunday. Oddly, MhM is VERY popular with my local crew!

And I'm mostly out of money, so the new lathe has time to get broken in before I terrorize the fast draw crew again. Got to save up if I'm going to make it down to Chattanooga for my birthday weekend in October *silly grin*

Awesome. Yea the one I built on 1.1 ohms will not go over 3.7. Just tested them again. The other is 1.2 on the provari. But it was 1.29 on the ohm reader. So basically 1.3. And it would go to 4.2. And would vape a few times at 4.3-4.4. Regardless. I took them apart and built out at 1.6 and 1.7 with twisted 30 gauge.

And we are not arguing. You are teaching me some technical things I really needed to know. Been experimenting myself and clicking back to charts here and there. And I am a numbers guy. I do math all day on the fly in my head. So I understand. And know it is either right or wrong. Been testing 2 of the kayfuns trying to get down thing comparable to the flavor of the BVC by aspire.

And yes I love all my MhM tips. See this one. darth. Recovered oak from the Ochitia river in Louisiana. Man I hope I spelled that river name right

It looks grey. But it is black. And hopefully they will start selling the p3. I don't want the shop betas. I want a brand new one lol. Want it to still have that new car smell.

Thank you again.

Don't you wish this was your soap dish in your shower? It's only 35 inches wide. Ha

Good morning Mountaineers.:) Kayte and Doug, congrats on the new lathe!:toast: I have no idea what a lathe to do what you do looks like. Can we see a pic? I used to run a lathe in the 70's to turn steel pellets into motor mounts. I am pretty certain that is not the same type of lathe.

Oh how exciting Sarah. You will be minutes from where I am. I vape outside of stores, restaurants, everywhere...I walk in stores with it in my hand sometimes, but never attempt to vape inside unless it's a B&M. And then only the 'loungy type". I have never had anyone tell me to stop or have seen a sign telling me I couldn't. I am respectful of others though, and vape just like I used to smoke. Hope you enjoy your visit to the sunshine state and O'town.:vapor:
Thanks everyone for being such a good bunch of people. Always supporting each other here. It's a good feeling. :)
