I've been at this going on a month now. I'm using a KGO with 1100mah battery. The generic cartomizers that came with the kit seemed to last 2 weeks with initial filling (about 16 drops) and continued drip top offs. I tried boiling and letting them dry and they just were not the same afterwards. Initially I could top off with 4 drops and get some good vape. Now there is barely any vapor or flavor. One of them makes the fully charged battery led blink as soon as I screw it in. So, I got some Boge 510LR and Smoke Techs. These seem to last even shorter periods of time. Same juice. Four top offs on a Boge and bad tase/battery blinking. Same trying second battery. batteries are good as a new carto is like my first vape.

My question is; how long can I expect the cartos to take a refill? And, how many 'puffs' should I expect off of a full carto. And, is the coil burning out that quickly (blinking?)?

Thanks

Buy some Boge 2.0 ohm cartos and fill them per the video below. If you don't get the bottom saturated the first time, you will burn the wrapper inside the filler. It's like a blanket that wraps around the bottom coil. Once it gets burned, the carto will forever taste bad. The key is proper saturation on the FIRST fill. After that, you can top off the carto with a few drops as soon as you notice a change in flavor.

Vapor eyes is correct, higher vg juices, and dark juices will make your carto go quicker. What juice are you using?

As far as puffs, it depends on how you vape. My cartos last about half the day (equivalent of about 8 analogs of smoking). I refill mine about 15 times before I toss.

Have you considered using clearomizers when you are at home? They will last you at least 3 weeks with average vaping. Mine last longer since I only use them at home and use cartomizers during the day

It isn't the coil that's burning out, it's the filler getting clogged with juice. Cartos are meant to be disposable BTW...but you can clean them and get some pretty good results. I've been soaking mine in vodka and using a cheap jewerly cleaner and then air drying them for a few days. The important thing is to be sure to get all the juice out of them when you clean them, and be sure they are DRY before reusing.

I do prefer higher VG as it seems to produce more vapor. Its like 'thicker so I feel like I'm getting more. 50/50 was my first mix which I like better than the 70P/30V.

I first filled with the condom method and that fried my carto (unless it was a coincidence). Now I drip and swirl, let it soak in, and repeat until the 'glazed donut' is visible.

Thanks DaveP for the tip about the initial fill and burning the coil.

During the first fill which is VERY IMPORTANT when using the condom method push the carto VERY SLOWLY into the condom of juice. I don't know the exact cartos you are using but for a regular carto it should take 1 ml/ 20 drops. For an XL carto should be 1.8 ml/ almost 40 drops and for an XXL upwards of 60 drops. If you're having problems with cartos you may want to consider clearomizers IMO.

When you do a condom fill, you should let it sit a while. You probably burnt it out because you didn't give the juice a chance to absorb. Personally, I do my condom fills from the mouthpiece side. This way I don't have to mess with cleaning the battery connector as much. I also do a tayrn spin. That will allow more juice in.

By the way, if you overfill your carto, it won't vape as much

I can get a couple months out of a Boge and the same with a smoktech but I don't run them for that long. As for cleaning, nope..toss them. Now the blinking of the battery...get rid of the carto that is causing this. It's letting you know that it's causing a short. If you keep using it, it will eventually kill your battery permanently.
