I'm missing BB King this week. I hated to see him go, but it was inevitable. I got to see him once in Macon at the old Macon City Auditorium (where the acoustics are superb) and one of the first things he talked about was how he wanted to die playing guitar and on the road making music. That was back in the mid 2000's.
A tribute to the King of the Blues at Montreaux back in 1993. Around 6:00 his solo gets loud and raunchy after playing softly for a while. Then, he stands up, passes his guitar off to a stage hand, and begins to throw picks out into the audience. It's classic BB.
